Just a Little Thank You

My Silhouette has been getting a work out here lately so today I've decided to use my Cricut.  I searched through my cartridges and decided I wanted to make a little "thank you" bag.  Using my Close to My Heart Artiste Cartridge I found a cute little bag and phrase.

I inked the edges of the phrase as well as the flap of the bag.  I punched a couple of holes in the flap and added some crinkle ribbon.

Have a Great Day!!!

Thank you

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!
What are you working on today?

I have a quick and easy "Thank You" card to share today.

I used my Silhouette and a file from the Silhouette store to create this card.  I dug in my stash, used some scraps and dug out my trusty Liquid Pearls.  As you can see in some spots, my fingers touched the liquid pearls and kinda smeared it.  That's what happens when you stop using things in your craft room.  You get out of practice.  LOL  The "thank you" sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Divas Say It Big stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you again soon!

It's a Hopping Birthday Wish!

Good Morning!

Are you like me?  You bought all these wonderful supplies/machines/gadgets you just had to have and now they kinda just sit in your craft room.  Well I've decided I am not buying anything new until I use some of my stash and make some space.  LOL   So I made a simple card using up some of that stash.

I have a little birthday card to share with you guys today.

My card is a typical A2 sized card.  My image can be found in the Silhouette store.  Using my Cameo, I cut the image and then created a shadow by welding the frog and the lily pad together.  I used some stripped paper from my stash, added some brads, added a sentiment and viola a quick and easy birthday card.

HIMCR #259 - Try a New Fold

Happy Saturday!  It's time for a new challenge over at
Hiding In My Craft Room!  This week's challenge is "Try A New Fold" with a twist of course, it has to be Christmas!!!

This week's sponsor is MHK Designs!
The giveaway is 3 products, Winner's choice, from MHK Designs!

Here is my inspiration:

My image is from MHK Designs "The Simply Santa Set" along with some digital paper from the Deck the Halls Digital paper pack.  My fold is called the double Z fold.  My base is 5 1/2 X 12.  It was scored at 2, 4, 8 & 10.  I cute my panels at 51/4 X 1 3/4.  I did not add a solid panel behind the designer paper but you can do anything you would like.  I inked around all the edges of the panels and the card as well as my Santa image which was printed on some cream card stock to give it a vintage feel.  I then cut it using my Cuttlebug and a Sizzix label die.  My belly band is 2 inches in width and was cut to fit around the card.  Sorry I forgot to measure it.  The sentiment is printed on the same cream card stock and is also from the same Simply Santa set.

I have a confession to make I totally forgot that this challenge was to Try A New Fold.  I made a card using the same image and paper prior to making my double Z card.  I decided to post it as well.  So here it is:

I can't wait to see what fold you decide to use for your card!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Friday!

Another week gone!  Whew!  Time is flying by!

I have a vinyl project to share today.  I searched google for some bacholette glasses and I found a really cute and thought I could recreate it.

Here it is:

I had a hard time getting a good picture because the words are on an angle.  Anyways, I used both my Cameo and my Cricut for this project.  The lips are from the Tie the Knot Cricut Cartridge and I cut my saying using my Cameo.

Thanks for coming by!
Be sure to check back tomorrow for  a
new HIMCR challenge!

Until Next Time.................

A Silhouette Project

I have a Silhouette project to share with you today.  One of my favorite features is the print and cut.  I love that I can print an image and have my Cameo cut it out for me.

Here is my card using that feature:

Isn't this image the cutest!!!
You can find it in the Silhouette store!

Embossing, Embossing, Embossing

Don't you just love to emboss!
It gives your projects a entire new feel!

Today, I'm going to share the technique of embossing with embossing folders with you.....

I used my Cuttlebug and the Paper Studio's Holly embossing folder.  I tried it two different ways, first I just ran it through the Cuttlebug and this is what I got.....

I love the texture!  It just adds that extra WOW!!!!

So then I tried it another way, I inked up the folder with some VersaMark and then ran it through the Cuttlebug.  I added some clear embossing powder, finished it off with my heat gun.  This is what I ended up with:

It's really shimmery!

I added these to some card bases and here are my finished cards:

I cut these images from the Holly and Ivy Cricut Cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Wedding!

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!
I have a quick post with a card to share.

Today's card was made using the Bridal and Baby Soirees Cricut Cartridge. I have all these wonderful cartridges and never use them.

For the outside I cut the card base along with the panel to fill in the butterflies and flowers.  I then cut a piece of white glitter card stock to fill it in.

For the inside:

I found this sentiment online and copied it, printed it up and added it to the card.

It was a quick and easy card to make.
