Valentine Mini Card

Good Morning!  How are you today?  I'm so glad you were able to stop by for a visit.  Have you been crafting?  Are you getting ready for Valentine's Day or Mardi Gras?  Here in New Orleans, I see all the Mardi Gras decorations going up.  I don't normally decorate for Mardi Gras because I don't live anywhere near the parade routes.  Any who, I have a Valentine mini card to share with you today.

  My card is 3X3 and the mat is 1/4 inch smaller.  I ran the pink mat through my cuttle bug using a Darice embossing folder and then I inked around the edges with some SU pink ink.  My adorable little koala bear can be found on Create A Critter 2 Cricut cartridge.  She was cut at 1 3/4 inches with her layers.  I also inked around the hear and her bow.  Popped her up on some foam tape, added some ribbon I bought at Hobby Lobby and I was done with the outside.  I recently purchased the I *HEART* punny-licious stamp set from My Pink Stamper and I stamped the "I like you beary much" sentiment in the inside but totally forgot to take a pic.  And I'm doing this post from my office so I don't have access to it now.  :(

I hope you have enjoyed your stay and will come back soon! Have a great day!!!!

Update on the 50th Birthday Invite

It is COLD today in South Louisiana, when I woke up this morning it was 25!  I know for those of you that have cold winters this is a drop in a bucket but for us this is COLD!!!! LOL We are used to temps in the 50's and sometimes in the 40's but hardly ever below that!  What is going on!

Ok, enough about the cold!  So if you visited my blog yesterday, I was not totally happy with the invite I made.  I felt as tho it needed something more.  I went home removed the 50 from it, ran that through my sticker maker and added some purple glitter.  I think I like it better now!  What do you think?

Happy 50th Birthday!

Good Morning!  Happy Hump Day!
Can you believe it we are halfway through the work week!
Seems I'm keeping to my posting schedule so far (although it's only the second official post of the year for me, LOL)!

I need your help today.  So my sweet SIL asked me to make a 50th Birthday invitation for a party she is hosting, the only restriction is she wants it to be black and purple!  No other colors.  I'm trying to keep it simple because I'll have to make 25 to 30 of them.  And it's for a lady.

Here is what I've done so far........

The colors are a little wonky because I took it with my phone and the lighting wasn't the best.  The bow is purple not pink and the purple of the card is darker.  It looks kinda pinkie as well.  I am putting all the party info in the inside.  Please give me your honest opinion, what should I change?  Should I add/take away anything?

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello/Sweet Friend

Good Morning and Happy Monday!  So how is the new year treating so far?  In my world, so far, so good!

For Christmas, I received a set of Gelatos and decided to try them out....boy do I have a lot to learn!  LOL

This is the set I received and here is my first card I made using only what was in the kit.  Again, I still have a lot to learn.

Really it wasn't that hard to do, I just need to learn the different techniques.  I'm thinking I might really like them once I learn to use them correctly.

I have another card to share, a non-gelato card!
Have a peek!

See you back on Wednesday!
Until then...........

It's All About ME!!!!!

Good Morning!  No project today, I just want to talk.  LOL

I hope 2015 has started off wonderful for everyone!  Did you make an New Year resolutions?  Do you stick to them?  What about "crafty" resolutions?

I normally make those same resolutions that I never keep, like losing weight and exercising more.  I'm one of those people that start off with a bang and it dwindles down to nothing!  LOL

I'm hoping this year will be different because the only personal resolution I am making is to be a better me!  I told my daughter that I was going to be selfish this year and 2015 was going to be "ALL ABOUT ME"!  She said good for you mom, you always take care of everyone else it's time for you to take care of you.
For the record, I'm not going to put myself before God of course or my family but I'm going to carve some time out to do the things I want to do!  Like craft and travel!

For my crafty resolutions:
1. Spend more time crafting;
2. Post at least 3 times a week;
3. Master my Cameo;
4. Use up my stash before I go out and buy more;
5. Enter more challenges;
6. Comment more on all the wonderful blogs I visit daily but don't comment on! I love comments so I need to pay it forward!;
7. Craft outside of my comfort zone; try new things!;
8. Last but not least; enjoy my crafting time again!!!!

Happy 2015 Everyone!  I hope this year brings you all the happiness and health you deserve.  See you back here on Monday with my first crafty post of the year!  Until then...............
