Ghoulish Greetings

Happy Halloween!!!!!!

What are your plans for today/tonight?  Are you going Trick Or Treating?  Are you planning to attend some other frightful event or maybe stay home and hand out treats?  What ever it is you'll be doing, BE SAFE!!!!

Today I am sharing my last Halloween card of the season.

My cute image is a stamp I picked up at Hobby Lobby on sale!  Gotta love that!  I colored her with some sharpie markers.  Then I cut the scallop using my cuttlebug and a nestabilities die.  I then used a piercing tool from CTMH to add the holes.  My background paper is from my scrap box.  The pattern can be found in the CTMH card making book.....Originals.  My ribbon is from Walmart and my cute black buttons are from Hobby Lobby.

The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Diva's Ghostly Greetings Stamp Set!

Until next time...................

What's Brewin

Happy Hump Day! Can you believe it we are halfway through the work week!!!!
I must apologize for not being around much this week, but I have been super busy with church activities, family, home and work. Let me give you a quick recap.......
Friday - Boo At the Zoo with 5 of my 6 grandchildren;
Saturday - grocery shopping and cleaning house;
Sunday - World Youth Day for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, I spent the day with 2000 young people worshiping Our Lord!
Monday - I took the day off of work thinking I could catch up and recoup a little, but Mom who is still healing from her knee replacement in July, asked if I could take her to Hobby Lobby and Michael's since I was off work to get some flowers.  So off I went, I spent the entire day shopping with her and my daughter and then CCD that night.  I teach 1st grade religion on Mondays.
Which brings us to Tuesday - finally an hour in my craftroom and this is what I was able to do........

Using A Frightful Affair Cricut Cartridge and my E2, I cut out this sassy witch at 3.25with all of her layers!

My card is a typical A2 sized card.  All of my papers are from my scrap box including the background paper, which I am pretty sure is K & Company.  I added a piece of ric rac rather than ribbon.  I added some green stickles to her cauldron to make it bubble over.  Can you see the cute rat she is dropping in!  LOL  To finish off my card, I added a cute sentiment from Scrappy Mom's "A Haunting We Will Go".

A close up of the sentiment!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today!  Hopefully, I'll be back tomorrow with a new project!

Disney Blog Hop for Rett Syndrome Awareness

Happy Saturday
Welcome to this year's Blog Hop for...
Rett Syndrome Awareness
In this hop we will be showing you many Disney themed projects while sharing with you about
Rett Syndrome.
If you have just stopped by my blog to visit with me, thank you and welcome, but please start at the beginning of the hop with our
Hostess, Robin from
We would not want you to miss any of these wonderful projects.

So, grab yourself a Latte', sit back and hop along with us as we share our projects with you.
October is Rett Syndrome Awareness Month, so I wanted to help get the word out and what better way to do that than with a blog hop.
Rett Syndrome strikes without warning. A girl with Rett Syndrome usually starts out as a happy and healthy baby. Then something goes terribly wrong. She loses the ability to speak, she can't use her hands to play with toys, or to even feed herself, and she may lose the ability to walk.
Despite their physical disabilities, girls with Rett Syndrome are believed to be functioning mentally at a much higher level than previously thought.
Rett Syndrome is caused by a mutation of the MECP2  gene on the X chromosome.
Rett Syndrome is found in all racial and ethnic groups throughout the world, and in every socioeconomic class.
Rett  Syndrome affects in 15,000 female births.

*Symptoms of Rett Syndrome...

Rett Syndrome is a genetic neurological disorder that affects girls between 6 and 18 months of age. This regressive disease leads to lifelong handicaps, including loss of speech and voluntary muscle control, and is often misdiagnosed as Cerebral Palsy or Autism. Symptoms range from mild to severe, and almost always include...
*Developmental Regression or Plateau
*Near constant hand clasping or wringing
*Severe communication impairment
*Breathing problems
*Digestive issues
*Floppy arms and legs
*If able to walk, then with a shaky, unsteady gait, or toe-walking. But most do end up using a wheelchair for the most part.
*Slowing head growth
*Abnormal sleep patterns
*Transient loss of social engagement
*Poor circulation that can lead to cold and bluish arms and legs
Many individuals with Rett Syndrome live well into adulthood, although there are some that do not get that chance and end up losing their battle to Rett Syndrome at a very early age.
Most people including Doctors are not aware of Rett Syndrome, so, please help me get the word out about Rett Syndrome and hopefully the more that know the faster we can help in finding a cure.

Look at you, back again!  Thanks for coming by!  I have a  center step card to share today.

This cute SPOOKY ghost can be found on the Create A Critter 2 Cartridge.  He was cut at 3 inches using all of his layers.  The black base is card stock from Walmart.  The orange is some scraps I had lying around and the purple is from an old K & Company Halloween pad I have.  I'm sure I mentioned more than once, that I am a paper hoarder.  I love scrapbook paper.  I added some orange and black twine from Trendy Twine.  My cute little sentiment is from Cardz TV "Spooky Sayings" stamp set!

I'll be entering my card in the Cardz TV Fun Folds Challenge which you can find HERE if you want to play along!

Again, thanks for coming by and I'll see you again soon!
Have a Wonderful Day!

Happy Halloween Banner

Good Morning!

Can you believe half of the week is over already.  I tell it seems like the days just fly by lately.  I remember being a child waiting for the weekend forever.  Now it seems to be here in a blink of the eye!  Does it seem that way to you?

I have a banner to share today.  I used my E2 along with the Chich & Scary cartridge for the flags on the banner and the spider webs.  My letters were cut from the pre-loaded Cricut Alphabet Cartridge.  I have to say the design was not my original idea but I can't remember where I saw it.  The spider webs were ran through my sticker maker and placed on tissue paper and then hand cut to give them a background.

Click on the picture to make it larger!

Until Next Time.........

You're Fang-tastic

Good Morning!  Can you believe it, only one week to Halloween!!!!!  I purchased a really awesome stamp set from CDD and with it came a super cute freebie!  I decided to use the freebie on my card today.

Isn't the spider the cutest you've ever seen!  I colored him with my pencil colors and some oms.  I actually stamped him on the smooth side of some textured paper so that when he was colored he would look fuzzy.  LOL Ok,so I was trying something different. TeeHee  I added glossy accents to his eyes but not before I colored them a yellow green and used some green stickles.  I wanted his fangs to be darker so I used my sharpie marker for them.  I have a lot to learn about coloring but I enjoy it all the same!

Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to stop by and say HI!

You can find this snowman on "A Quilted Christmas" Cricut Cartridge.  He was cut at 3 inches and I ran him through my cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder.  My background paper is from DCWV.  I used some pretty white lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  My sentiment is from My Craft Spot "White Christmas" stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Non - Paper Projects

Look at me!!!!!  I've posted six days in a row!!!!!  WOW!!!! I think I may be back for real this time.  LOL

Today I have a couple of wreaths to share that I was asked to make:

First is a pumpkin deco mesh wreath:

The face on the pumpkin is felt and is pinned on with some straight pins that I went over with my black sharpie marker.  After Halloween the face can be removed and the pumpkin can be used as a Fall wreath.  Sorry for the bad pic, I didn't notice until after I gave my cousin the pumpkin that the mesh had slid over a bit.

My second wreath is a straw wreath:

Another wreath for another cousin (actually the sister of the other cousin) LOL  Same here this wreath can be used as a Halloween wreath and then the bat and spider can be removed to use it as a fall wreath.

I hope you enjoyed my non-paper projects today!

Be sure to come back tomorrow as I will be participating in Day 2 of the Monster Bash Hop!

I'm Batty For You!!!

I am so glad this work week is over!  It has been a brute.  As some of you know, I am a paralegal by day and this week we had 3 depositions!  EEEEKKKKK

So today, I have some more Halloween to share.  I'm not sure if I mentioned this but Halloween is my second favorite holiday, it's right behind Christmas.

My cute bat is from the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge and was cut at 1.5 on my E2.  I added some googly eyes because I think they make everything cute.  LOL My background paper is from DCWV and my pretty purple ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Last but not least my super cute sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps.

Artbooking LO

Happy Thursday!

How is your week so far?  Mine is going great! I have a little story to tell....I purchased the CTMH Artbooking Cartridge back in April of this year and for whatever reason, I did not open it until the 1st of this month.  Well I took it out of the package and put it into my E2 with all intentions of making one of the cute layouts available.  Unfortunately, my cartridge wasn't working.  This is what came up on my LCD screen:

Well needless to say the function keys shouldn't be blank.  I called Provo Craft and was told by the sweet lady that answered the phone we only have a 90 day warranty.  Well obviously it was longer than 90 days, I didn't even open it until the 1st of October.  I explained my situation that due to some unforeseen circumstances I hadn't crafted much in the past 7 months is there anything they can do for me.  She asked that I send her my receipt along with the above pic so they can see what the defective cartridge is doing.  I did!  And they sent me a brand new one!  Gotta love Provo Craft!!!!!!!

I received my cartridge on Tuesday when I came home from work and here is what I created:

I'm really loving the way it turned out and can't wait to try another.  This was so quick and easy!  I'll more than likely add a journal spot as well as a title once I know who's pic is going to go on it.  Don't you just love the little 4x6 frame in the top right corner!

Have a Great Day!  Until next time.............

Just Because

Hello Again!  It's me again, today I'm sharing an anything goes card.  Basically I created a card and didn't put a sentiment on it or in it so I can pull it out in a pinch and use it for whatever the occasion calls for.

My Fleur De Lis was cut from the French Manor Cartridge at 3 1/4 inches.  My circle was cut using my E2 and the pre-installed cartridge Cricut Essentials.  Although you really can't see it in the pic, I paper pierced the circle and along the edge of my background paper.

Until Next Time.........

Happy Birthday "Wild Thing"

Hello and Happy Monday!  How are you guys today?  It's so nice of you to stop by.  Did you have a good weekend?  I had a busy weekend as usual but it was a very fun weekend.  Friday I was able to babysit my only granddaughter, Aria.  I love her sooo much!  Saturday, my step-son had a diaper shower because I am getting grand-daughter number 2 in November! Then finally I spent Sunday with my Mommy and a few of my cousins playing Poker Keno which we do once a month.  I won 5th place too!  LOL  Then Sunday evening I was able to get into my craft room and get some things done.  I'll be sharing those with you this week.

So lets begin with a Birthday card:

This was a quick and easy card using Life's A Party Cricut Cartridge.  My card was cut at 5 inches using the card feature.  I added some twine to the outside of the card.  I used the paw prints that you would normally throw away as part of the inside of my card.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from CDD's "Say it Big" stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.

If you didn't get a chance to hop with me on Saturday; I was part of the Creepy Cricut Creations blog hop; just scroll down.  You have until tomorrow to hop and be eligible to win the awesome prizes offered!

Until Next Time.........

Now, prepare to be spooked!

For my project, I decided to try my hand at the 3-D Haunted House you can find on the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge.

I cut the house at 7 inches with all its layers in purple then I took my black ink pad and just kinda rubbed it all over all the pieces.  After I built the house I cut out a couple of ghost, a few bats and a cat to add to the house.  Finally, I decided I would start building a Halloween scene for my Godchild so I cut a tree and am currently working on some tomb stones to go along with the house.

 Up next is YOLANDA!

If you get lost, or need to stop along the way, you can find the complete lineup at
