Finally A Card in a Box

Hello!  Happy Saturday!
I hope you guys are having a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

I finally had time to try something new.  Well not new, but new to me.  I made my very first card in a box.  It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.  I watched several tutorials on you tube and read a few too!

Here's my card, let me know what you think......

My card is A2 sized and will fit in a regular A2 envelope.  I used my Cricut Expresssion 2 along with Kate's ABCs and the Paisley Cricut Cartridges.  My sentiment is from Scrappy Moms.  Sorry about the shadows and such in the pics, it's been raining here all day, so I took these inside.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to see you again soon!!!!

Campfire Fun

I was soooo excited when I got home from work today, I had some happy mail!  I recently ordered "The Great Outdoors" stamp set from Craftin Desert Divas and received it today!!!  I couldn't wait to get inside and make something so here it is!

Isn't this the cutest little bear roasting hot dogs!  It reminds me of being around the campfire with my grandchildren.  I colored the image with my crayola pencils and OMS.  I can't wait to color another image from the set!

Until Next Time............

Oh no! Do you have a little ouch? :(

I'm back!  WOW Can you believe it, it's been 3 days in a row this week!!!!!  I'm challenging myself to post at least 5 days a week!  I'm trying to get back on track.  I enjoyed crafting and sharing my projects with all my awesome crafty friends; happened!  I found myself with little time to spend in my craft room doing what I like to do!  Well I am forcing myself to find time for ME!!!!

For my project today, I decided to make a "Get Well" card.  I never seem to have any when I need them.

My cute little image is from Nate's ABCs Cricut Cartridge and was cut at 3 inches.  My awesome sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas' "Say It Big" stamp set.  I love the font on used for the stamps in this set.

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Another Back to School Card

Good Evening!  It's good to see you!  I have another back to school card to share today!  Sorry for these late posts but it seems to be the only time I have to get into my craft room.  I'm trying to get back to my morning post and hoping to do it sometime this week!  :)

Are your children back to school yet?  Here school started on August 8th.  Can you believe it?  Where has the summer vacation gone to?

For my project, I used my Expression 2 along with the Doodlecharms cartridge.  My backpack was cut at 3 inches using scrap paper. My card is a typical A2 sized card.  The background paper is from DCWV  Grade School stack.  My ribbon is from my scrap ribbon crate.  The cute little sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas' School Zone stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!  Until Next Time..............

Crazy busy Weekend - Mickey Mouse Nautical Birthday Party

Hello!  How are you? Did you have a great weekend?  I had a CRAZY BUSY WEEKEND!!!!  Saturday was my first day of Religion class and Sunday was my Grandson Cayden's 2nd Birthday!  So after class on Saturday, I came home to bake his cake and finish the paper projects I was making.  I thought I'ld share a couple of pics with you!

Tags for the party favor pails!  I created the tags using my Silhouette Portrait.

The Welcome Sign for the door!  I used my Expression 2 to create this sign.  I used Mickey and Friends, Don Juan and Stand and Salute cartridges.

The Happy Birthday banner!  I used my Expression 2 again with the following cartridges: Mickey and Friends, Stand and Salute & Birthday Bash.

The Birthday Boy, his Daddy, Mommy and baby Sister!  And the only pic of the cake I have all put together, how bad is that!

The bottom of the cake without Mickey's hat!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today!
I hope you enjoyed my post today!

It's a Country Kinda Card

Good Morning My Sweet Crafty Friends!

Today is my day to post over at Pinque Peacock!!!  I have a Country Kinda Card to share!

For my card today, I used the Chicken Wire Garland Mesh as a background.  Where can you get that you ask....well over at the Pinque Peacock store of course.  The base of my card is black and is a typical A2 size.  I added a maroon layer along with a stripped designer layer.  My rooster was cut at 3.5 from the Animal Antics Cricut Cartridge.  I added some aqua ribbon that I picked up at Michael's.  My speech bubble was cut at 1.5 from the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  And last but not least, the "HI" sentiment comes from Craftin Desert Divas.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today!  Until Next Time.......

Something A Little Different

Good Morning and Happy Monday my Crafty Friends!

Well today, I have a little something different to share.  As most of you know, I teach 11th Grade CCD (Religion Ed) for my parish, Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church.  We're starting our new school year this Saturday, August 23rd.  The high school CCD program meets once a month on a Saturday for 3 hrs.  I don't get a lot of time to share with them so it has to count!  This year, I get my OWN room and am super excited, I normally share a room with another grade (normally an elementary grade, they meet on a different day).  So that means I can decorate it any way I like and make it my own.  In our diocese, (New Orleans) our children do not Confirm until 11th grade, so that's what I teach...the Sacrament of Confirmation.  I want to make our room special!

Here is a peek at what I am doing thus far......

Okay, let me tell you about my bulletin board, first off it is not my original idea. {GASP} I found it on Pinterest, changed it up a bit and made it my own!  One of the things we will be focusing on this year is getting to know Jesus, and what better place to do that, than the Gospels.  Sorry for whatever reason my pic of St. Luke is distorted.

Okay, about these sideways curtains.  LOL  I don't know why but it won't load the correct way.  Blogger really doesn't like me.  Let me just say, I am not seamstress!  I really don't know much about sewing.  Ok, make that nothing!  I do however own a sewing machine.  The story behind the curtains is this, I took the original curtains that were hanging in my room home to wash and well they kinda disintegrated in the wash.  EEEEKKKKK!  The windows are a weird size so I couldn't find any to buy.  So I decided I would TRY to make some, with my mother's guidance over the telephone (she had a total knee replacement approximately 5 weeks ago) I was able to create some semblance of curtains!  They work!!!!! Don't laugh at me.  Hee Hee!

For whatever reason I didn't take a pic of our prayer table.  I'll do another post later as I continue to add things to our room!  Have a wonderful day!

Until Next Time................

A Little Pinque Peacock Halloween Fun!!!

Hello!  How are you today!!!!!
Today  is my day to post over at Pinque Peacock and I'm getting a head start on my Halloween cards!
Yep, I said Halloween!  I think I'm just ready for cooler weather and thinking I can make it happen sooner if I keep thinking FALL! LOL

I was digging through my stash and found this adorable covered button!

Did I happen to mention that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays!!!!  My cute cat was cut from the Cricut Happy Hauntings at 3 inches.  I added red liquid pearls for the eyes and a bit of purple stickles for the body of the bat on her collar.  My ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and last but not least my FABULOUS FABRIC BUTTON which you can find HERE!  In case you aren't familiar with fabric covered buttons, they come in 2 sizes and there are several fabrics to choose from.

Have a wonderful day!!!!  Until next time..........
