I choose to do a layout of my son and his beautiful wife.....

Let me tell you a little about this layout.....first off my son and now daughter-in-law met when they were 10 years old, now they are 23.  They became the best of friends and helped each other through tough times and were there to share each others' good times.  Then about three years ago they took their relationship to a new level.  Ashley says she's loved Chris since she first met him and it clear he has always been smitten by her.  Oddly enough when they were about 12 or 13, I can remember Ashley's Mom telling them they were going to grow up and get married and we all laughed.  Now her prediction has come true.  LOL  If you look at the small pics to the left, you'll see Ashley walking down the isle with her Dad with the biggest smile.  It's not uncommon to see the groom face light up but it was easy to see she was totally in love.  The pic below that shows my son, Chris when he first saw his bride coming toward him, I've never seen him so happy!!!!  Then the bigger pic is right after they said their vows and were introduced as husband and wife.  I don't think I've ever seen a happier couple!
I would say I am totally LOVE STRUCK when it comes to my children!!!!

In honor of all the love going around, I have a Recollections Valentine paper pack to give away.  All you have to do is leave me a comment, telling me on of your favorite wedding memories, yours or a friend/family member!  Enjoy the rest of the hop!!!!

Your host..

  1. Precious Miranda. I love it. TFS

  2. What a beautiful layout for such a wonderful occasion. Really drawn to the way you did your "banner".

  3. WONDERFUL layout of your children! My husband & I were best friends too (great foundation to marriage)! My favorite wedding memory was the music we had during our ceremony, it was thought through & we had special people sing it. Many people commented it was the best wedding the had been to.

The funniest memories were my husband had borrowed a friends to Triumph TR-6 convertible to drive away from the church & his sister put balloons on the back of the seats and I was quickly strangled by the balloons. The other was after coming home from our job (his) honeymoon, I told him the first night home I was going to bed & he could leave and go home, lol! I was so used to doing this after dating him for 5-1/2 years. I then corrected myself & said were "Married" you can stay!!

    I'm already a follower. =) ~Beth

  4. What a sweet story of your son and his wife!! Your layout is beautiful!!

After our ceremony, we did pictures together. As the wedding party was no longer needed, they went across the street to the reception. This left Mike and I with the photographer. It rained as we left the church. Later I learned that raining on your wedding day was good luck. Odd that it only rained for a few minutes as we left the church and headed across the street (luckily in the limo) to the reception!!

  5. Your layout is absolutely Beautiful!! I love the story you shared. Christina

  6. Beautiful Layout! Weddings are all so beautiful. My favorite part of any wedding is to the the looks on the bride and grooms faces as the bride walks down the aisle. It tells the whole story. TFS!

  7. I love your layout! What a great memory to cherish! My favorite wedding memory was my cousin's wedding instead of using the unity candle they used sand and poured sand in a jar several times to fill it. It was a very unique wedding, too, the bride had family from Norway fly in and was neat to see their wedding attire.

  8. Absolutely beautiful layout and story. A true love story. My wedding has to be one of the funniest wedding stories ever. My husband and I got married twice in one week. Due to circumstances out of our control the person that we had to perform our wedding could not do it, so we got married on a Tuesday at the court house, then on Friday because we already had invitations out and everything paid for we faked a "traditional" wedding so our family and friends could join us. I laughed through both of them. Now 30 years later we are still laughing with each !

  9. very nice Miranda, great take on the layout. Nice pictures too!

  10. What a sweet layout. When my husband's brother got married, he dropped the ring, said "oops", picked up the ring and the ceremony continued.

  11. Fabulous LO - love the pearls and hearts. My favourite memory would be from my wedding, even though at the end of October and done on a meagre budget, the sun shone, with not a cloud in the sky and it made the day even more perfect!

  12. what gorgeous photos and a stunning layout to showcase them!

  13. Beautiful page. One of my fave memories of my own wedding 24 years ago, is that my grandpa walked me down the aisle. All four of my grandparents were there. I love and miss them so much, I smile just knowing that they were there for the most important day in my life.

  14. What a precious page! My favorite wedding memory is when my daughter and son-in-law got married. When they were to walk out of the church, they danced out with sunglasses on instead. What a fun way to start their new life together.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment! I appreciate them! Have a great day!!! Miranda :-)
