Cricut Artiste Cartridge and Really Reasonable Ribbon

Good Morning!  How are you today?  Are you enjoying your week?  I am just happy we are halfway through the work week!  I have a project to share today using the Cricut Artiste Cartridge and some lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I went to a baby shower on Sunday and the Mom to be asked that the gifts weren't wrapped so she would be able to spend more time with guest.  So I created this little shoe as a gift hard holder.  I have to tell you using the shoe as a gift card holder was not my original idea, however, I can't remember where I saw it at.

To create my shoe, I used the CTMH Cricut Artiste Cartridge and cut the shoe at 4.25.  I used Scor Tape to adhere my lace to the shoe.  I made a teeny tag using MCT's Teen Tag Greetings stamp and die set.  My pink bow was made using some ribbon from Michael's.  I used some pink brads from my stash to attach the strap across the shoe.  I have to say, I can't wait until I have to help for a baby shower because I think this shoe would be a great favor!

If you haven't hopped through the Surprise Birthday Blog Hop I organized for my Mom, click HERE to head over there!  You have until Thursday at 11:59 pm to complete the hop and enter for the sweet blog candy!

Mary Ann's Surprise Blog Hop

Welcome to "Mary Ann's Surprise Birthday" Blog Hop!

Today is my Mom, Mary Ann's 65th Birthday and to honor her, we are putting on a surprise birthday blog hop!!!!

I am the first stop on the hop!  Let me tell you a little about my wonderful Mom!  She is first, a Mother, then a Wife, Grandmother, Care Giver, Friend and all around awesome person.  My Mom is my very best friend!  We talk every day and try to see each other as much as possible.  She is AWESOME!

Some of her favorite things are......gardening, crafting, vacationing and spending time with family.  She is a florist by trade but doesn't do much of that anymore, mostly for family in her backyard shop.

A few years back, she had a TIA which put things in perspective for me.  You think your parents are going to be here forever or at least you hope so, right.  But after her health scare, which by the way she made a full recovery, our bond just got stronger.  I make it a point to see her as much as possible and we vacation together.  You know a little mother/daughter time!  I LOVE MY MOMMY!!!!!!  And that is the reason I am doing this for her!  Mom, I hope you enjoy your special day!!!!

In addition to seeing a lot of awesome creations, there is some blog candy available too.  Mary from  Cardz TV with Mary is our sponsor for this hop!  She will be giving away TWO stamp sets!  Be sure to stop by her blog and give her some bloggie love!  And head over to  facebook and become a Cardz TV Stamps follower!

In addition, I will be giving away a Michael or JoAnn's gift card, winner's choice.  To be eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the hop and leave a comment!  The winner will be announced Friday on my blog!

Don't forget to leave a birthday message for the birthday girl!!!!!

My Mommy loves ladybugs so when i saw this sweet little ladybug in the Kate's ABCs handbook, I knew I had to use it.

To create the frame for the inside of my card, I used a Martha Stewart Punch.
The sentiments are from Cardz TV "Good Times" stamp set!

I made this wreath as a birthday gift for my Mommy!  Hope she likes it!

Next on the hop is my super sweet friend VANESSA!

Should you get lost along the way, here is the entire line up:

Happy Monday! A Wreath and A Winner!

Good Morning My Crafty Friends!  Did you have a wonderful weekend?  I had a busy weekend but it was good!  On Saturday, I had class for 5 1/2 hours and then went to meet my daughter, Rachelle and my future DIL, Ina at a bridal shop to see the bridesmaid dresses and get the girls fitted, etc.  The dresses are gorgeous and I can't wait until December to celebrate their wedding!  I have two children getting married within a three month period, WHEW!

Sunday, I woke up with a sinus headache that I couldn't shake so I stayed home, but I was able to get in my craft room and make a couple of wreaths.  I'm getting ready for 4th of July!

I made this one for me, this is a pic of it on my gate in the back yard.

And on my door!!!

And this one I made as a gift for my daughter!

Ok and now I have the winner for my blog candy from the 100 Acre Woods Blog Hop.............

Welcome to the "Father's Day" Blog Hop!

We're so happy you could join us today to honor Fathers, Brothers, Sons, Uncles or any other man who has been a great influence in our lives!

I am the first stop on the hop!  I can't wait for you to see what great projects these awesome ladies have created!

In addition to seeing a lot of awesome projects, there is some blog candy available too.  Miranda will be giving away a Michael’s or JoAnn's gift card (winner's choice).  To be eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the hop and leave a comment!

The winner will be announced Wednesday, June 19th here on my blog!

Let me tell you a little about my Dad or Daddy as I call him. He is an awesome Daddy, very loving and caring.  Always there when I need him most!  Just a great all around guy! Here is a pic of my Dad and I when I was a little girl:

This is how I remember us!  Always cuddled up!  I have to admit, I can't cuddle with him like that anymore I seemed to have grown a bit too big.  LOL  But I still get my hugs in!

My Daddy is a commercial fisherman from South Louisiana so when I saw this stamp from My Daily Bread, I knew it would make the perfect Father's Day card or him!

I colored the image with my pencil colors.  The image brings me back to my childhood when we spent countless hours in the Gulf trawling, or as some say shrimping!

And the inside.  I cut the wheel and anchor from Life's A Beach Cricut Cartridge.

Happy Father's Day to all you Awesome Dads out there!

A Couple of Celebrations

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!  As I mentioned on yesterday, I had two celebrations to attend this past weekend.  First, was the baptism of my youngest Grandson, Michael.  Here are a few pics from that special event.

Michael Duhon, III

He wasn't too happy about the cold water being poured on his head.

This is my DIL, Ina, daughter, Rachelle, son Michael, and grandsons Brayden and Michael, III.

I did make the cake for the baptism but for whatever reason, I don't seem to have a pic saved on my computer.  Oh well I guess it'll be a post for another day.  LOL

Secondly, was DJ's 6th birthday party.  DJ is my honorary Grandson, he is my best friend Teresa's son and according to my oldest Grandson, Brayden is BFF.  DJ had a "solider" party!  Here are a few pics.

My very first tank cake ever!  I have to say this was not my original idea, I found a few pics online and just used those as inspiration to create the cake.  And then I saw the cute little cupcake wrappers at Walmart and knew we had to have army cupcakes.  LOL

DJ liked everything except the Oreo's as the tires because he just doesn't like that kind of cookie.  LOL

The birthday boy blowing out his candles.

So there you have it.  I had a very busy day on Saturday, baking two cakes and on Sunday enjoying the celebrations.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Puppy

Happy Monday!  How was your weekend?  Did you get any crafting time in?  I was super busy this past weekend I babysat my sweet little Cayden on Friday night, baked 2 cakes on Saturday and attended a Baptism and a Birthday Party on Sunday!  And I have to say I was in bed asleep by 9pm on Sunday night.  LOL  Gee, I'm getting old!
Today I have a birthday card to share with you guys.  I was looking at the Create A Critter handbook and saw this cute little guy and thought I would make a card with him.   Take a look and tell me what you think!

The puppy and his fire hydrant side kick were cut at 2.50 from the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge using all of the layers.  The 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 yellow card base was cut using Recollections paper, the Jewel pack.  The red card layer was cut at 5 1/4 X 4 from Recollections red paper.  The cute background paper is from DCWV School matstack and was cut at 5 X 3 3/4.  The pretty yellow ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the adorable sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's!

Just a note: I'll be attending class all this week for Religious Ed (certification for teaching) so I'm not sure if I'll be able to post everyday, but I will post as much as I can!

Have a great week and until next time.......

Hello Friend

Good Morning!  I'll be heading off to Mass in a little bit, it's a special day today!  We are baptizing my youngest Grandson, Michael.  I'll share some pictures later.  But before I head out, I have a card to share today.

Another card made with the Simply Charmed cartridge and K Andrew's stamp sets.  Sometimes we need just a simple little card to send to someone we don't get to see or speak to very often.  And that is exactly what this card is about.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Enjoy your Sunday!
Until next time.......

"One in A Melon"

Good Morning!  I have a really quick post this morning as I have two cakes to bake and am running behind.

Have I ever told you that I was a paper hoarder collector? {GASP}  I love paper!  So I was looking through my paper pads and found this adorable paper in the DCWV "the Sweet Matstack" and found this pretty paper.  So then I had to search for an image and a sentiment.  And my card was born.  LOL
The image is from Simply Charmed and the sentiment is from K Andrew's More Food for Thought.

Have a Great Weekend!
