Some Fun in The Sun

Howdy and Happy Friday!!!!  I was digging around in my computer and came across this cute digi stamp only problem is I'm not sure where I got it from.

Okay so I obviously can't color like my Mommy (Scrappin GG).  LOL  Any who, I used my pencil colors with some OMS to color this image.  Let me just say the black was a total mess up and I really wasn't going to use the image and I decided what the hay, hand made cards aren't suppose to be perfect right!  I started to color the soles of the flip flops black and decided I didn't like it so I erased it but it didn't all come up.  So I added a little more black and erased it to make both flip flops match just not as much on the second.  In person it sorta looks like someone just put it on with a dirty foot.  LOL  I'll see you tomorrow with another project!
Until then...............

Treat Bag Toppers

Hello and Happy Thursday!!!!  It's back to work for me today after a week off. :-(  Actually it's not that bad beings there is only 2 days and then I'm off for the weekend!  LOL  I've been working on some treat bag toppers for my BFF's son DJ who is 6 years old!  He is having a soldier party.

God Bless You

Good Morning! I have a Baptism card to share with you guys today.  My youngest Grandson, Michael, III is being baptized Sunday coming.  I created this card for him and his parents.

My card is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 inches.  The shimmery paper is from Recollections.  The blue paper is from my scrap box.  The shimmery layer is cut at 5 1/4 X 4 and I used the Tulip embossing folder from Stampin Up to dress it up.  The Cross was cut at 3 inches from the New Testament Cricut Cartridge.  The blue scallop oval was cut from CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  I embossed the oval using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.

I found the sentiment for the inside of my card on the Internet and just typed it out, printed it on some white card stock matted it and placed it inside the card.

Linked this card over at Pink Cricut for the Tuesday Linky Party!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful week!
Until Next Time.............

1st Birthday

Happy Sunday!  Today I have a 1st Birthday Card to share.  My sweet little Grandson Cayden is will be a year old in August so I made this card for him.

For my card today, I cut the cute little cupcake from the Baby Steps Cricut Cartridge.  The paper I used to cut the cupcake is all from my scrap box.  I added some blue stickles to the icing part of the cupcake to give it some sparkle.  I also added stickles to the flame.  The blue base and brown layer are from Recollections.  The background paper is from DCWV "the Sweet Mat Stack".  My ribbon is from Walmart. I  typed the message using my computer and printed it, cut it and matted it to use on the card.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I'll see you tomorrow with another project.

It's a Rockin' Rooster

Hello again!  Are you enjoying your long weekend?  I know I am.  I spent the yesterday with 2 of my sweet grandsons, Brayden (7) and Hilton (2).  Then later in the evening, my grandson Cayden (9 mos) came to spend the night.  I'll be watching him today while his Mommy is at work.  What better way to spend the weekend than with family, right!  I was able to sneak away into my craft room for a little bit and create another Father's Day card.  It's for my father-in-law who is in a band and loves, loves, loves his chickens.  LOL

This adorable rooster is from Animal Antics Cricut cartridge and was cut at 3 inches using my E2.  I have to say I still love my Cricut.  I do have a Silhouette Portrait that I won and I like it.  It does have a bit of a learning curve and maybe that's my problem I'm just too lazy to sit down and figure it out.  LOL   Any who I do seem to go to my Cricut first.  Tell me what machine do you use and have you ever used a Cricut? Do you still have your Cricut?  Why or why not?

Have a Great Day!  Until next time.........

Keep On Truckin'

Good Morning!  How are you?  I know two days in the row and it's not even a blog hop.  LOL  I am taking a few days off of work so I am hoping to finish cleaning up and organizing in my craft room (yeah right) and get some crafty time in.  I joined LOAD 531 and have yet been able to make a single scrapbook page.  I've just been writing everything down and will use the prompts at a later date to get started scrapbooking again.  Well I took a little time to make a card using the Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge.

So what do you think of my first Father's Day card of 2013?

My card is an A2 sized card.  The black and white paper is from my scrap box.  The background paper is from DCWV "The Natural Mat Stack" which I have been having forever and finally used.  My truck was cut at 1 1/2 inches.  All of the paper for the truck is also from my scrap box.  The stamp is from Studio G and the buttons are some I picked up at Walmart.

I've never been really good at masculine cards, they are a challenge for me.  I'm good with little boy cards, being I have 5 Grandsons.  LOL

Thanks for stopping by and until next time............

My Crafty Space

Hello Everyone!  My sweet friend Tara is having a linky party over on her blog Craftin Desert Diva's she wants to see your craft space.  I have to tell you my craft room is currently being overhauled so there is stuff stacked everywhere and it's wall to wall furniture.  So here it goes.............

This is what my room looked like just a few days ago.  Couldn't even move around in it.

This table was in the center of the room and I had another just like it right in front of the window.

My computer desk.  EEEEKKKKK

It's getting better!  I was able to put a lot of stuff away in these cubes.  If you look closely, you can see my Silhouette Portrait peeking out on the shelf on the left.  Under the desk portion and in the corner to the left are plastic containers that I picked up at Walmart.  I store most of my paper in those.

My Imagine sits on top of a deep freezer it rarely gets used.  On either side of the freezer are CD shelves with some of my cricut cartridges.  My trusty black table has been cleaned and put behind the shelf.  I can take it out when I need a larger work area like when I make wreaths.  Also behind that shelf is a hook where I hang my Cricut mats.

Sorry no matter how I edited this pic when it up loaded it, it was on it's side.  I was trying to show you my ribbon rack which is to the left of my window.  It has my Close to My Heart apron hanging on it.

Again another side way pic.  As you can see, my Expression and Expression 2 is on a table.  Under that table is a plastic rolling drawer thingy from Walmart.  In the first drawer is my Stampin Up stamps and ink.  The second drawer has tons of ribbon in it and the last drawer has an array of things.  Above the table is a shelf with cartridges on it.

Next to that table is an industrial shelf with my paper pads, more cartridges, magazines, my sewing machine, cuttebug, photo boxes, etc...

My computer desk still looking pretty bad.  To the left of the desk is a basket with my deco mesh rolls in it and a closet with loads of crafty things in it including Close to My Heart stamps, paper and inks.

Again sorry for the side way pics.  Have a great day and don't forget to link up your crafty space!

Hats Off To You

It's that time of the year again!  Grads everywhere are preparing for that "BIG" day!  Whether you are graduating from Kindergarten, Eight Grade, High School or College it means the same to each and everyone of those that worked so hard!  So for today, I created a card to celebrate "Graduation"!

This is an A2 sized card (5 1/2 X 4 1/4).  My blue card base and gray layer is from Recollections, the black layers is some cardstock I picked up at Walmart.  The background paper is from DCWV Glitter Mat stack, my favorite!!!!  My owl was cut at 2.75 from Create a Critter 2 with all of the layers including the shadow.  All of the card stock used on the owl came from my scrap box.  I put the owl on an action wobble but didn't take a pic of it wobbling.  LOL  The sentiment is from a stamp set I picked up at Michael's, sorry I don't recall the name and through away the packaging.  My ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and has a little silver thread running right along the edge of the white.
