Silhouette Portrait

Good Morning!  Whew what a week already.  There is some craziness going on at work, imagine that, right!  Of course nothing I can't handle, it's just making for a bit of a stressful week.

For those of you that don't know a couple of weeks ago I won a Silhouette Portrait.  It was delivered on Friday and I am just finally getting to take it out of the box and play around with it a bit.  I downloaded an image from Silhouette online store and gave it a go!  I still have some learning to do, actually I have no idea what I'm doing!  LOL  But I am pleased with the results.

Here is a pic of the Silhouette Portrait I won!

Here is my first project using my new Portrait!

As I stated above the svg cut came from the Silhouette store.  My paper is from my stash box and the ribbon is from

The inside:  I used Jaded Blossom Lucky Treats stamp set to stamp the sentiment and the Shamrocks.

I hope you enjoyed my first Silhouette card!

For my project today, I created an invitation and an URN for a 50th birthday party using the Cricut Events Cartridge - Over the Hill.  I am working on decor, etc for my hunny's 50th coming up in July.

The urn needs to be recreated with some heavier paper.  I filled the top with some moss and am working on some flowers to add to it.  Sorry the pics aren't too great, I took these inside due to weather conditions.

The invite with the belly band.

Without the belly band.

Cricut vs. Cameo

I'm putting this post back at the top of my page and hoping to get some more thoughts on the subject!  Thanks!!!!!

Hello my sweet crafty friends!!!!  Sorry I haven't posted all week, I've been sick with a cold and I can't seem to shake it.  So I've haven't had the energy to get into my craft room and make anything.  I've been coming home and eating dinner and going to bed.

Okay, so I have a dilemma, I'm considering purchasing a Cameo.  However, I feel like I have so much invested in Cricut that I need to justify it.  If you have a Cameo, what are your thoughts about it?  And if you own both, which do you like best and why?  I guess I'm trying to find out the major differences of the machines.  Also, with the Cameo are you using just there software?  And did you buy the upgrade?

Thanks in advance for all of your help!!!!!  I'll be back tomorrow with a project and I'll be in a blog hop on Saturday!

Minnie Birthdays to you!

Good Morning My Crafty Friends!  I am super excited the Ravens won the Super Bowl and I won some money on the football pool!  YIPPY!!!!!  But I'm most excited because I got to spend the day in my craft room!!!!!  My sweet Godchild Ava is going to be 2 in a couple of weeks so I created a birthday card for her.

My white base is Georgia Pacific card stock from Walmart and is cut at 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 to form an A2 sized card.  My red mat is 5 1/4 X 4 and is Recollection paper.  The background paper is from Recollections "With Love".  My Minnie Mouse was cut at 3 inches from the Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge and was popped up with some Recollections foam squares and put on a Blossom cut from Nestabilities Blossom set.  I inked around the edge with some Martha Stewart pink ink.  My crochet ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon December monthly ribbon club assortment.  My sentiment is from Scrappy Moms stamped with CTMH Holiday red ink onto a tag cut using Creative Time tag die and I added a mini pink brad.

I hope you enjoyed my card today, until next time............
