Sesame Street Valentines

Hello my Crafty Friends!  Hows it going?  Sorry I haven't been around much but I'm still sick, I can't seem to kick this cold and cough.  By the time I get home I'm so worn out I don't have the energy to go into my craft room, isn't that sad.  All I want to do is sleep.  I did find some extra strength to get in there and here are a few cards I made using Elmo and Friends Holiday.

Aren't Elmo and his friends adorable!  I hope to be back soon with a few more projects!  Until then........................

Waterfall Valentine

Happy Friday!!!!!  Do you have big plans for the weekend?  This weekend kicks off the Mardi Gras or Carnival Season here in New Orleans!  It seems we are going to have the perfect weather for it as well.  Too bad, I'm not feeling so well!  At least not well enough to go to the parades! :(

I finally felt well enough to get into my craft room and create!  I made my first Waterfall card!  I know, I'm kinda behind on times.  LOL  But as most of you know I keep things rather simple.  Well this is a simple waterfall card.

To create my card, I you tubed the directions.  The base is an actual A-2 Sized card.  It was actually easier than I thought.  Split Coast Stampers has a great tutorial on it as well.  My background paper is from DCWV.  My red paper is from Recollections and the white paper is from Walmart.  The pink is from my scrap box.  I used two little black brads.  My ink is CTMH Hoiday Red.  The four sentiments on my squares are from CTMH Who's Your Valentine Set.  The smooches and lip stamp are from K Andrew!

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you aren't too busy tomorrow, do pop in, I'll be participating in a Valentine Bag Blog Hop!  Also if you have some time, I'm looking for some insight scroll down to see my Cricut vs. Cameo post!  I can use some advice!

Teresa' First Blogaversary Blog Hop

Hello to all our crafty friends! We have a great blog hop for you today. A little over a year ago Teresa began this new blog to celebrate the fact she wanted a change in her life. And for that change to be permanent came lots of prayer and leaning on God to give the right answers. The answers He needed to give not the answers Teresa desired. Well here we are 1 year later and Teresa is a Stay at Home Wife loving life and doing all she needs to do to create a warm, loving atmosphere for her family!

So thanks for joining us today...Teresa asked all the participants to create something that represented a change in their life...So hop on along.

First, take a look at Teresa's project over at Fresh and Renewed, then go next to An'Jenic's blog. Make sure you comment along the way as Teresa has blog candy for you over at her blog!

So if you know me, you know that most of my cards are A2 sized and pretty simple. To reflect change in my crafty life, I decided I need to try new things. Today I have a center step card to share.

I really enjoyed creating something different.  I'm hopping to try other cards! Thanks Teresa for helping me try something new.

Now you can head over to Sarah!

Should you get lost along the way, here is the entire line up:

I'm Back!!!!

Happy Tuesday my Crafty Friends!  I finally got some much needed time in my craft room! I took some time off to spend with my family and now I'm ready to get back to crafting!  I missed it sooooo much!!!!  I'm also trying really hard to organize my room and possibly re-do/remodel it!  I'm looking for the right color to paint it along with possibly getting some shelves built or maybe even buying some cubes from Michael's just not sure yet.  If you've seen some really organized rooms posted please comment with a link any advice is greatly appreciated.
Now onto my card, as you can see I've been away from it awhile I just couldn't get my layers straight. LOL

For my card today, I used 3 Birds on Parade.  I thought this little birdie with the snowball was adorable.  I cut him with his layers at 3.5.  Added some stickles to the snowball for a little sparkle.  All of my paper is from my stash.  My ribbon is from Michael's.  I ran my white card stock through the cuttlebug with the snowflake embossing folder and then using a SU Bashful Blue ink pad I lightly ran it across the embossed image to give it some color.  My sentiment if from K Andrew's "Winter Wishes" and was stamped in Broken China distress ink from Tim Holtz.

I hope you enjoyed my first project of 2013.  I'll be back Friday for 2 blog hops be sure to check back.  One celebrating my sweet friend Teresa's 1st Blogaversary and the other celebrating my "46th" Birthday!  Gee Mom, you're getting old.  LOL
Until then.............

Whew, where has the year gone?

Good Morning and welcome to 2013!!!!!
Can you believe it?  Where has the time gone?  I know most of you have already worked out the things you want to change and/or do in 2013.  I too have been thinking about that and that's part of the reason I am writing this today rather than yesterday because I spent the day with family!
So here it goes (1) 2013 is going to be my year, ALL ABOUT ME!!!!!  Well it sorta will be I will be implementing new things that make me happy and making changes to some areas of my life and just doing whatever I want to.  I am always focusing on everyone around me and how to make things better for them, well I've decided if I am not 100% happy with me than I can't make anyone else happy.

 (2) I will be attending Mass every week.  I mostly already do this but there are occasions I miss and not for any good reason.  And on that note, I am going to try really hard to get my family to attend with me.  Now that they are all grown, they tend to not do that anymore.  You know the old saying "A family that prays together stays togehter"!

   (3) Weight loss, I am determined to get back on my life changing kick with my health.  I am over weight and when I followed the Weight Watchers Plan about a year ago I did well and then I went back to doing things the wrong way so I gained 20 lbs back.  I WILL get to my goal weight!!! LOL

(4) I want to spend more time with my family, again all about me, LOL!  Two of my sons work offshore so I want to make an effort to spend time with them while they are on their days off.  I want to  cook a Sunday dinner for all to attend when possible.  I have 4 gorgeous grandsons and one more coming in February and I want to spend as much time with them as possible!

(5) Craft room re-do!  I want to reorganize my craft room and make it easier to find the things I need to create! I need to get in there and use what I have!  I refuse to buy anything new until I use what I already have.

(6) Blogging - I love blogging!  I love reading everyone's blogs, seeing all their wonderful creations and posting about ME!! LOL  Again, all about me!!!!  I want to try to post on a regular basis.  My goal for this year is 3 post a week!!!!!  I can't seem to do the everyday thing because I have such a busy life.

 (7) Crafting in general - I want to try new things.  I want to try to do different kinds of cards (interactive cards), using vinyl, making bows (floral bows), creating wreaths and flower arrangements, etc.

 (8) Scrapbooking - this is how I got started paper crafting and I would love to get back to it......I want to make at least 2 scrapbook pages a month.  I really need to get back into taking pics!!!!!

And of course I have a ton of other things I want to do but I'll stop here!   I hope you set some Goals for 2013 and are able to accomplish them!!!!!
I'll see you later this week with a project!!!!!!!
Until then...........
