Gobble! Gobble!

Good Morning Paper Lovers!  How are you guys today?  Thought I would switch gears and take a break from Halloween, so I made a Thanksgiving Card!  LOL

I decided to use my Imagine for my project today.  My cute little turkey is cut and printed at 3.4 from the Enjoy the Seasons Imagine cartridge using the layer feature.  I popped up all the layers with some foam tape from Walmart.  Isn't he adorable.  All of my paper except for my background paper is from Recollections Spice pack.  The background paper is from DCWV Gathering Stack from last year.  My buttons are from Walmart.  My sentiment is from Cardz TV - Thankful for You set and was stamped with CTMH Lagoon ink.  My ribbon is from the Dollar Tree.

I hope you enjoyed my card today!  Now I'm off to bring my Mommy to the doctor!  Have a great day and until next time......

My Cricut Craft Room - Card Creating Tuesday

Good Morning Everyone!  Today is my day to post over at My Cricut Craft Room.  Our assignment today was to create a pink card in honor of cancer awareness.  I have to admit I didn't read it completely, I read the cancer awareness part but somehow skipped the pink card part.  LOL  Needless to say I had to remake my entire card. I used the same design just different colors.

I started off with a 5/12 X 8 1/2 piece of pink scrap paper, folded it in half forming a 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 card.  Next I added another pink scrap paper cut at 5 1/4 X 4 inches.  My cute background paper is from the Paper Studio - Safari Untamed paper pack from Hobby Lobby.  It was cut at 5 X 3 3/4.  My image was cut from Autumn Celebrations at 3 inches. all of my paper used to create the ribbon is from my scrap box.  The jewels are from Hobby Lobby, it's this huge container I bought several years ago and am still working out of it. LOL  The cute butterfly ribbon is from Michael's ribbon bin they always have right outside the store.  My sentiment is from K Andrew's Fashionable Friends and is stamped on a ticket punched with the EK Success Ticket Punch and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I inked around the edges with SU Regal Rose.

And just for fun, here is the first card I created:

Just a Share!

Nothing crafty today!  Thought I'ld share what I did this weekend!  Besides the fact that it was my sweet son Michael's 26th Birthday on Saturday and I was able to spend a little time with him and his family, I also spent some time with my youngest grandson, Cayden!

I met Michael, Ina and Hilton over at a festival where Hilton was able to run around and let off some steam.  Here is a pic of him having a really good time:

Sorry about the picture quality, I took it with my phone.

And the rest of the weekend both Saturday and Sunday, I was spoiling helping out with this little guy! We even had our first outing together this weekend, we went to visit his great grandmother (my mom).

Isn't he adorable! Okay I am biased!  Tee Hee!!!!  I'll be back tomorrow with a project!

Another Halloween Card!

So do you recall me speaking of being a collector?  Well another thing I seem to collect is Cricut cartridges.  It's said to say I have some that I haven't used yet!  EEEKKK!!!!!  I know how could you possibly not use them.  Well I was digging around on my shelf the other day and found one that hadn't been used much - Paper Trimmings!  I took it down and started looking through the hand book.  Here is what I came up with:

My card is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  All of my paper is from my scrap box.  The adorable pumpkin was cut at 3 inches from the Paper Trimmings cartridge.  My cute little spider webs were punched from Martha Stewart's Spider Web punch.  The buttons and the cord tied in them are from Walmart.  My sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Spooky Treats stamp set and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on a ticket punched with the EK Success ticket punch.  The shadow was hand cut.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time......

My Cricut Craft Room - Theme Day Thursday

Hello everyone!  Can you believe it is Thursday already! That means it's Theme Day Thursday over at My Cricut Craft Room and my day to post!  Today's theme is Child's Birthday, we have to create a project for a child's birthday either a girl or a boy!  Well since my children can't seem to make girls, lol, I thought is best to go with a boy's birthday theme!

I decided to do a Superman Theme:

Here are all the the pieces individually:

Of course you have to start off with an invite, right!  Well you can find this cool card on the Superman Cartridge.  It was cut at 5 1/2.  I punched out a ticket and added the You're invited sentiment from the K Andrew's Sweet July stamp set.

Next, I had to create a hat!  It was cut at 6.79 along with the layers.  I added a rubber band as the string.

Using the same cartridge, I created a banner.

The cape was cut at 7 1/2 inches.

The letters were cut at  3 inches!

I put it all together with some blue ribbon!

Can't have a birthday party without favors!  I created these adorable glasses, also found on the Superman Cartridge and cut at 5 1/2 inches.

Last but not least, I made treat bags:

Collector

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!  First off I want to apologize for not posting every day this week, I've been a bit under the weather I've actually missed work {GASP}!  Any who, today I am feeling somewhat better my gland isn't as swollen and my ear seems to not hurt so much.  Thank Goodness!!!!

Are you one of those people who collects things?  I am!  I collect magazines both paper and digital along with an array of other things....paper, embellishments, etc... you get the picture right!  I collect all kinds of junk umm great used things! Tee Hee  Well back to the magazine thing, I am an online subscriber to Cricut Magazine.  And finally this past week I decided to take a look at a years worth of magazines, which are awesome by the way.  With that being said, I found an adorable witch's hat that I wanted to try.  Here is how I made it.....

I gathered some purple tulle and tied it with a piece of cord.

My soccer ball was cut at 6 inches from the Life's A Party Cricut cartridge using shift.

I attached the tulle to the black circle after I distressed the edges of the circle with my Tim Holtz paper distresser.

I cut this ribbon in half down the center to make it slimmer.

I added the ribbon to the hat that I cut using Life's A Party (monkey birthday hat) at 6 inches and Recollections adhesive tape.  My paper is from DCWV Ghosts & Goblins Stack from last year.

Finally, I glued the hat to the base using my hot glue gun, made a bow using some more of that orange ribbon from Michael's, I made three flowers using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge cutting them at 3 inches and added some orange bling to the center.  Finally I added some Halloween pics I picked up at Michael's.

Of course my hat doesn't look anything like the hat in the magazine but I gave it a shot and enjoyed making it.  If you don't already receive the Cricut Magazine you should take the time to take a look at them.  Now that I've actually looked through all the back issues I have, I realized they are full of great inspiration.  That goes for all my paper magazines I subscribe to.....it's amazing the amount of inspiration this collector has found just by using some of the things I have collected.  LOL

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see my Theme Day Thursday post for My Cricut Craft Room!

On a different note, I want to share something I received today:

Isn't this adorable!!!  My mom gave it to me.  She said she saw it on someone else's blog, but she can't remember who.  So if anyone saw it please comment below so we can give proper credit to the person that created the original!  I'm not sure how she created it but it is a terra cotta flower pot.

Have a great day!  And until next time............

Spooky Greetings

Happy Saturday!  Whats your big plans for the weekend?  I'm gonna be so busy this weekend I may have to take a day off on Monday to recoup!  LOL  Today alone, I teach CCD this morning until noon and then it's off to my son's house for the revealing party, then off to the French Quarter for the Seafood Fest.  Only to get up tomorrow morning and start again with Church and then heading out to spend the day with my mom and some of my cousins!  Whew, I'm tired all ready!!!!!

Enough about my crazy weekend, I have a cute little Halloween card to share with you this morning.

All of my paper if from Recollections today.  My card is a typical A2 sized card.  I embossed the purple layer using the hounds tooth Cuttlebug embossing folder.  My image was cut at 3 inches from the Autumn Celebrations Cricut cartridge.  My ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.  My image is from My Craft Spot - Spooky Treats and was stamped in SU Concord Crush onto a scallop oval.  I also inked around the edge of the oval using Concord Crush.  I added 3 glittered Halloween brads to finish it off!

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday and I'll be back to give you guys an update after the revealing party!  Can wait to see if it's a girl or a boy.  Keep in mind I have 4 grandsons!  LOL
