MCCR September 100 Cart Blog Hop

 Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop Day ONE

You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ if not please start at the beginning

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's one year "BLOG-aversary" of our first 100 cartridge Blog hop!
A year ago the blog was kicked off with the first design team members and daily postings. It took 2 months to get ready for this hop last year. Now we bring it to you the first full weekend of every month.
Collectively the design team uses over 100 different Cricut Cartridges in their projects during the two days of this hop. Sunday the new members of the design team will be announced and some have even made a project to share with you!! What an exciting weekend!!
As special treat enjoy 10% off of your total purchase with Erica's Craft Room Store.
Use the code JULY to see 10% off of your total purchase (No exclusions)
on July 7 & 8. Also on Sunday there will be an exciting announcement!!!

For my first project this month, I used the Good Old Days Cricut Imagine Cartridge.  Since I purchased this cart, I have been wanting to use this image.

My image was printed and cut at 3 1/2 inches.  My the orange and yellow paper is from Recollections.  My black background paper is from from K & Company's last year Halloween pack.  My cute sentiment is from K Andrew's Fall-O-Ween stamp set and my ribbon is from Wal-Mart.  Doesn't this Witch remind you of Be-Witched!  LOL

For my next project, I used the Chic & Scary Cricut Cartridge.

All of the paper used for this card is from my scrap box.  My tree was cut at 5 1/2 inches, my cat was cut at 2 inches and my pumpkin was cut at 2 inches.  My grass at the bottom was cut using my Martha Stewart fringe scissors.  I crumpled my yellow sign and then used my Tim Holtz distress ink to ink the edges and ink over the top so you can see the creases.  Happy Halloween is from My Creative Time's Mixed Holiday Sentiments.  My card is 6 X 6.

I must apologize but I only have 2 projects this month.  Unfortunately I was unable to complete my third project due to Hurricane Issac coming by to visit.  I have been without lights since Tuesday and last week, I was busy welcoming my newest Grandson, Cayden James.

Next you should go to LB's Blog

Best Friends

Happy Friday!  What are your plans for the weekend?  My weekend is going to be crazy busy; hopefully my sweet little grandson decides he is ready to meet us today;  I have to bake a cake for a b-day party; Saturday is the first day of the new CCD year and the last just keeps going on!  I don't know how I will survive! LOL  I hoping Sunday I will get some crafting in!
Today, I made a cute little card using my Imagine and the Nursery Tails cartridge.

I printed and cut my image at 3.5 using the layer feature.  My card base is 6 6/16 X 4 1/4.  The next layer is 6 2/16 X 3 3/16.  And then my image. I popped up all the layers with Recollections foam squares.

Sorry for the quick post but I'm heading the hospital to wait for Cayden to make his appearance!  Have a great weekend!

MCCR - Would You Ever Guess Wednesday

Good Morning Everyone!  Today our assignment was to use the tag feature.  I decided to use the tags on A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge.  This is what I came up with:

For my first card, all my papers are from my scrap box.  I'm really trying to use up those scraps.  My pumpkin tag was cut at 3 inches.  I used my brown sharpie marker to color his stem and add a little green along the bottom of the stem.  I added some Star Dust Stickles to his eyes.  I used some brown chalk with a Q-Tip to give the lines in the pumpkin some depth.  I tied a piece of ribbon from Michaels through the hole in hte tag.  My "too cute to spook" sentiment is from K Andrew's Fall-O-Ween set.  I added some left over Halloween bling from last year.

My second card is also made from scraps.  I used the same cartridge to cut this tag and it was also cut at 3 inches.  I inked around the edges and added some Silver Pearl Liquid Pearls to the buckle.  My black ribbon is from Wal-Mart.  My sentiment is from Cardz TV Thankful for You set.

Congrats On Your New Addition

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  I was able to get into my craft room and get some things done.  I'm waiting on the arrival of my newest grandson.  He is due in another week, but I'm kinda hoping he comes this week. LOL  I decided to make a baby card!

My card is an A2 sized card.  My green base and my blue layer are from my scrap box.  My background paper was printed from the Nursery Tails cartridge.  My cute little bottle was cut from Simply charmed.  I hid the face using my Gypsy so I could use PK "Cutie Pie" faces.  I inked around the edges of the bottle using some Martha Stewart ink.  Then using my white gelly roll pen, I added some faux stitching.  My ribbon is from Michael's.  My buttons came from my stash.  The sentiment was stamped using Scrappy Mom's Simple Sentiments and Broken China ink on a ticket punched using EK Success Ticket punch.

Thanks for stopping by!

Recycle/Reuse Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Recycle/Reuse Blog Hop. This hop is all about pulling out that garbage or the old stuff that has been sitting around forever and creating a wonderful project. We have Scrapbook Stamp society sponsoring us today.
They are giving away 3 free digi stamps. Shannon will also be giving away a set of flowers of her choosing from her Etsy store that you can visit here www.etsy.com/shannleffew2/shop.  Please stop by and say hi on each blog to be entered to win.  If you came from PAT'S blog, then you are in the right place.  If you are joining me from your dash board or just happened by please head over to SHANNON'S blog, you don't want to miss any of the fun!

For my project today; I decided to re-purpose a spice rack I have been having for about 7 years and really didn't use.  The rack was just sitting in my kitchen taking up space.  This is what I started with.  I emptied all the spices and washed all the little bottles.

Next I took it apart and washed all those pieces.

I placed all the pieces on some card board, took it outside and painted it watermelon.

It took two coats to cover all the black.

I put it all back together.

Finally, I cut some circles out of paper and attached it to the tops of the bottles.

Now I have a cute embellishment rack.

And to think I was just going to throw this away.

Your next stop on the hop is PAM!

Christmas Wishes

Hello My Crafty Friends!  How are you guys today?  I'm trying to come up with a Christmas card that I can mass produce.  I usually send out about 40 cards a year so they can't be too involved.  For today's card, I used Good Old Days Imagine Cartridge.

To create my card, I started with a piece of white card stock (Wal-Mart) cut at 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored at 41/4 to form an A2 sized card.  My green mat also from Wal-Mart was cut at 5 1/4 X 4.  My background paper was printed on using my Imagine and the Good Old Days cartridge and was cut at 5 X 3 3/4.  My image was printed and cut at 3 1/2 inches. I inked around all my edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink. My ribbon is from Michael's.  I added three green peals using Mint Green Liquid Pearls purchased at Erica's Craftroom.  My sentiment if from K Andrew's Winter Wishes stamp set and was stamped in Close To My Heart Vineyard Berry (discontinued but similar to Barn Red).

Let me know what you think!

MCCR - Dance Layout

Hello My Crafty Friends!  I finally got some time in my craft room!  My life has been so crazy busy I didn't think I would ever see my room again! LOL
Today is my day to post over at My Cricut Craft Room.  Our assignment this week was to make a dance layout.  When my youngest son, Christopher, was about 12 years old he was watching a Shirley Temple movie and saw them tap dancing.  He was impressed and decided he wanted to learn how to dance like that.  A few weeks later, he came to me and asked if he could go to dancing.  Needless to say, I was speechless.  I asked him again if he was sure he wanted to do that and then he said "my coach said ballet is good for football players because it helps with balance."  That was it, we signed him up for dancing.

This was Chris with his dance teachers.  He was the only boy in the entire dancing school and had lots of attention.  He actually enjoyed dancing and continued for another two years until it started interfering with sports.
To create my LO, I used Shall We Dance Cricut Cartridge.  All of the paper is from Recollections.  My images were cut at 3 inches.  You can't really see it, but I used clear photo corners to attach my pic. I have a journaling tag that goes in the left corner.
I hope you enjoyed my project today.  Now head over to My Cricut Craft Room to see what my DT Sisters have created for your viewing pleasure!

My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge August Blog Hop

For my 300 Follower Giveaway Click Here!

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop Day ONE

You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ if not please start at the beginning

Use the code AUGUST to see 10% off of your total purchase (No exclusions)

For my first project I used Potpourri Basket Cricut Cartridge.  With  school starting next week, I thought I would make a card for Brayden's first day back to school!

For my back to school card, I cut the crayolas from the Potpourri Basket Cricut Cartridge at 3 inches.  All of my papers are from Recollections.  The Twine is from The Twinery.  Can you believe I don't have a back to school stamp.  I printed the sentiment on my computer. I added some Studio G glitter glue to the crayola.

A closer look!

For my second project, I used Elmo & Friends Holiday Cricut Cartridge.   I am so ready for Fall that I decided to make a Halloween card.

I cut my Count image at 2 1/2 inches. In the pic above, you can see it still on my mat.  When I cut something that has a lot of little pieces I usually leave it on my mat until I am ready for it.

Sorry for the awful pics, I was obviously having a bad night.  This one is a bit fuzzy, but it the Count after I put him together.

My card base is black card stock from Wal-Mart and was cut at 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scoring it in the center to form an A2 sized card.  The next layer is from K & Company's Halloween stack from last year.  It's double sided and the purple polka dots is on the other side.  Yes ,I know it looks sorta pink.

This is a much better pic you can actually see the colors.  I added some twin from The Twinery and a little purple button.  My image was popped up using Recollections foam squares.  My sentiment is from K Andrew's "Fall-o-ween" stamp set.  I stamped it on some scrap paper with Tuxedo Black Ink.

For my 3rd and final project today, I used French Manor Cricut Cartridge.

These are the things that I started with: My Mind's Eye 6X6 Lost & Found Stack, Recollections Kraft card stock and scrap pink card stock.

My card is a typical A2 sized card.  The Eiffel Tower was cut at 3 1/4 inch using black card stock from my scrap box.  The beautiful background paper is from My Mind's Eye.  My pink ribbon is actually some seam binding that I dyed using Tim Holtz Spun Sugar distress stain.  I have to say I was impressed, it was super easy and this pic does it no justice.  It is a very pretty pink in person.  My sentiment is from K Andrew.  I stamped the sentiment is stamped in SU Regal Rose.

A closer look at the Eiffel tower.
