Bubblegum Fun Gift

Hello Everyone!  I know I haven't been around much lately, but my life has been totally crazy!  I am hoping to get back into the swing of things.  My plans are to get into my very clean craft room tonight and dirty it up. LOL 
Over the weekend, my step-daughter had a bar-b-que at her new house so I made a little something for her.  Her kitchen is red and black and while visiting her dad and me she went into my craft room and saw the little gumball machines I had made and said it would be cute on her red and black vintage kitchen table.  So I quickly put one together for her this weekend. 

I know these are all over the internet but the first time I saw it was when my friend Amanda did a tutorial over at Getting Cricky with K Andrew and you can get to it by clicking HERE! I wanted mine to be bigger so I just increased the sizes.  All of the material used including the paint came from Michael's.

MCCR Theme Day Thursday - Sleep Over

Happy Thursday!  Today is Theme Day Thursday over at My Cricut Craft Room!  Our theme for today is Sleep Over!

I created a sleeping bag pull out invite using Everyday Paper Dolls, Rock Princess and Life's A Party.  Take a look and let me know what you think.  I must warn you this post is picture heavy! 

I started with a 7 1/2 inch X 5 1/2 inch piece of Recollections card stock. I scored from the right at 7 1/16 and 3 1/2.

I folded it on the score lines and applied adhesive to the side and bottom forming a pocket. 

The card for the inside is cut 3 1/2 X 5 1/4 so it will slide in and out easily. 

I cut a piece of card stock 5 1/2 X 3 14/16 to form the outside of my sleeping bag.  The card stock is Paper Studio - Safari Untamed mat stack.

Next I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper.

I cut a pillow from Everyday Paper Dolls at 5.50, inked around the edges and adhered it to my inside card.

Next I stamped the "You're invited to a" from My Pink Stampers Invitation Only stamp set and the info from a stamp I purchased at Hobby Lobby with SU Regal Rose. I cut the letters for Sleep Over from the pre-loaded Alphabet cartridge on the E2 at .75.

I cut the skull and it's layers from Rock Princess at 2.25 and added some bling to her bow.

Finally I cut "Girls Rule" from Life's a Party at 1 inch.

Another Baby Shower

Hello Everyone!  How have you been?  I'm so sorry I haven't been keeping up with you guys.  I am still playing catch up from Trial.  Trying really hard to get back to normal!  I finally got to spend a little time in my craft room on Saturday.  My son, Christopher is having a sweet baby boy next month and his Dad gave him a diaper shower this past Sunday.  This is what I made for it!  

My newest Grandson's name will be Cayden James and they wanted a banner with his name.  I used the bib on Baby Steps to make my banner.  I saw this cute little colored clothes pens at Wal-Mart near the baby shower stuff and thought it would be cute to make it look like the bibs were hanging on the line to dry. 

Yep, I made the cake too, something really simple.

Happy Birthday Ashley!

Today is my secretary Ashley's 25th Birthday so I made her a quick card.  

 My card is a 4 1/4 square card.  Each mat is 1/4 inch smaller.  All of my paper is from my scrap box.  The image was cut at 3 inches from Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge and I added a Peachy Keen Face.  My twine is from the Twinery.  My cute sentimetn and tag is from Creative Time.  I added some blue glitter glue for the icing. 

 The inside sentiment is from CTMH.  Isn't it lovely.  I wrote on the inside of the card before I took the pic so I covered it with a piece of paper.  LOL

My Cricut Craft Room WYEGW

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!  I hope everyone is having a happy Wednesday!  Yep it's that time again, another Would You Ever Guess Wednesday!  Today is the day the DT uses any other image on a cartridge except for the main image.  

For my card today, I used A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge. 

I cut my crab at 3 inches using the icon feature.  I inked around the edges with MS black ink and added some googly eyes.  My background paper is from my scrap drawer and is cut at 5 1/4 X 4.  I added some red and white twin from the Twinery.  My card base is white cardstock from Wal-Mart and is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 to form an A2 sized card.  I used an adhesive spring from CTMH to attach my crab.  My cute little sentiment is from K Andrew's "Splashtastic Summer" stamp set stamped in Holiday Red ink from CTMH on some scrap white card stock and then matted with red card stock.

Hello Everyone!  I hope you all had a very crafty weekend!  With the heat and the rain, there isn't much to do around here except stay in and craft.  Except work of course; and it seems that's all I've been doing for the past month.  One more week of trial and hopefully things will slow down a bit, at least enough for me to catch my breath!  I did have some time in my craft room on yesterday and was able to get a few things done.  I still need to make a few more invites for my son's diaper shower and some decor.  I need a few more hours in the day!!!!!  

Enough about my crazy life, on to my project........

For my project today, I used the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge.   The image was cut at three inches and is popped up using Recollections foam squares.  I added some Cotton Candy Stickles to the cheeks.  The white card base is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  Card stock is from Wal - Mart.  Green layer is 5 1/4 X 4 also from Wal - Mart.  The cute back ground paper is from Michael's and is cut at 5 X 3 3/4.  My ribbon is from Michael's.  My adorable sentiment is from K Andrew's "Food for Thought".

Sunshine and Smiles - My Cricut Craft Room

Hello my crafty friends!  I hope everyone is having a great week!  Well today is my day to post over at My Cricut Craft Room and it's card making Tuesday!  Our assignment this week was to either use a sketch or make a boy card for the Sunshine and Smiles project!  I choose Sunshine and Smiles, each of these cards get sent to Erica and she gets them to the kids at the hospital.  

My card is a typical A2 card.  However, I made it a side fold vs a top fold.  All of my paper is from Recollections.  Each mat is 1/4 inch smaller than the one before it.  I ran the red paper through my Big Shot with the Tim Holtz Alterations Brick embossing folder.  My awesome sentiment is from none other than K Andrew's "Of Mice & Lil Men" stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I used my small square punch to punch out the square and then put it on a piece of blue paper to create the layer.  I added three yellow buttons just to give it a little more color.  My image was cut at 3 inches from the Superman Cricut Cartridge with all the layers.  I do not recommend cutting this image any smaller than 3 inches, too many pieces!

It's A Diaper Shower

Happy Monday my Crafty Friends!  I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!  I participated in 2 blog hops this past weekend, if you haven't already, you should scroll down and take a hop! 


All weekend, I've been working on some invites for my son, Christopher's diaper shower.  I had to make 60 of them so I kept it ultra simple.  I decided since I was making so many, I would make it like a postcard.  Take a look and let me know what you think!

To create the invite, I first printed all of them and then cut them down to 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  I was able to get 4 from each sheet of blue card stock (Recollections).  I wanted to keep everything simple since this is going out to men.  Next I started on the front, I cut my yellow mat at 5 1/4 X 4 and the green 5 X 3 3/4. Both the yellow and green paper is from Color Bok (Wal-Mart).   I ran the green mat through the cuttlebug with the Spots and Dots embossing folder.  I added a piece of ribbon that says It's A Boy (Hobby Lobby). My image was cut using the Baby Steps cartridge at 3 inches.  I decided to cut the base in flesh color and skip one step because I wanted to add a PK face.  I than cut all the layers as usual.  

I'll be slipping these into an A2 envelope to send out!

For my first project today, I used  A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge

The base of my card is Recollections Kraft card stock cut 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 to form an A2 sized card.  My blue layer is 5 1/4 X 4.  My brown (sand) is 1 1/2 and I used a Fiskars paper tear edger to make my sand line.  My image was cut at 3 inches.  My sentiment is from K Andrew's Sweet July stamp set and was stamped in SU Old Olive on some SU Whisper White card stock.  My ribbon is from Wal-Mart.

For my second project today, I used Give A Hoot Cricut Cartridge.  

My card is an A2 sized card.  My pink base is ColorBok from Wal-Mart.  My green layer is from DCWV So So Sweet stack.  My image is cut at 3 inches first in green then in pink.  I inked around the edges with some pink MS ink.  I added some Flamingo Liquid Pearls to the butterfly and to make the butterfly trail.  I added some pink/white twin from the Twinery.  My sentiment is from K Andrew's Positive Thoughts stamp set.

For my third and final project today, I used Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge.  

This card is 9 1/4 X 4 inches.  It will fit in a #10 envelope.  My card base is from Recollections.  My adorable background paper is from Provo Craft Celebration stack which came from Erica's Craft Room Store!  My alligator was cut at 2 1/2 inches.  All of the paper used on my gator is from my ever growing scrap box.  I added some googly eyes rather than using the cut eyes.  For my nose, I used a black sharpie marker.  My sweet sentiment is from K Andrew "Positive Thoughts" stamped in CTMH Lagoon ink.  My ribbon is from Wal-Mart.
