Baby Shower Favors

As most of you know, my DIL's babyshower is today!  These are the favors for them.  Let me know what you think! 

I Googled paper sailboats and found this site with great instructions on how to fold them.  And this is what I came up with!  I found this cute paper at Michael's and I cut my flags from Life is a Beach Cricut Cartridge using my Gypsy to hide the unwanted parts.  Can you believe this flag was cut at 10 inches.  LOL  I stamped  Thank You on it filled it with "life savers" and it was complete!  

This is what it looks like all filled up with life savers!  

We only had to make 50 of these!  LOL

Ahoy! It's A Boy - Banner

Good Morning Everyone!  Well I've been working on getting things together for my DIL's baby shower on Saturday.  I made a banner!  Ok, first of all I have to say my pics are the best and the banner was laying on my table.  I was standing on a chair to take the pics. LOL

I cut all the flags or pennants at 8 inches from Chic and Scary.  I then cut the light blue layer from Chic and Scary and flood filled it using The Good Ole Days.  I used Storybook Cricut Cartridge to cut all my letterws with the shadow at 3.75.  My nautical images were all cut from Life's A Beach at 4.50 inches.  I tied each pennant together with a piece of small rope.  I'm hoping to take a pic of it once it's up on the wall or where ever it will be hanging from.  Or maybe I'll take a pic of it on my wall.  Now I need to finish the favors!  Whew 50 of them!  Have a great day!

WYEGW - My Cricut Craft Room

Hello Everyone!  Can you believe it, it's Wednesday already! And if you are a frequent visitor of My Cricut Craft Room, then you know what that means!  If not, I'll tell you; It's Would You Ever Guess Wednesday!  What does that mean you ask?  That means that the Design Team is to use any other feature key on the Cricut Cartridge, except the regular image.  Or we can use a cake cartridge to create a paper craft or vice versa!  

For my card today, I used the Accent/Frame feature on the Storybook Cricut Cartridge.  

My card is A2 sized.  My base is green card stock from Recollections (Michaels).  The same green I used to cut my image from page 41 of the handbook at 3.0 inches.  I added a piece of pink card stock from my stash to bring out the image.  Finally, I used some Flamingo Liquid Pearls to create the pearls.  My back ground paper is from ColorBok (Wal-Mart).  I added a piece of white satin ribbon (SU) and tied a knot.  My sentiment is from K Andrew's Winter Wishes stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on a piece of pink scrap paper and cut by hand.  Last but not least I added a green crystal (Hobby Lobby).

Thinking of You

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!  I hope everyone is having a good week so far!  My mom's birthday was this past Sunday and she came over to my house to hang out with me and craft.  She wanted to know about sketches because she is fairly new to paper crafting.  So I printed a sketch from the computer (Mojo Monday 243) to play with and give her some ideas.  Following is the card I made.  

I used the original Wild Card Cartridge to cut my base at fit to page which made it 5 1/2 inches.  I then cut a circle from Plantain School Book for my circle layer and inked around the edges with some SU ink (sorry I don't remember which).  Next I hand cut the strips of paper from some scraps I had.  My adorable birdcage is from Lori's Garden Imagine Cartridge.  I printed and cut it at 2 1/2 inches using the layer feature and then popped up each layer with some foam tape.  Finally my sentiment is from CTMH and was stamped in the same SU ink I had used previously.  My square was punched using a small square punch then layer on top of some white paper that I hand cut around.  

My Mom had lots of fun and knows how to use a sketch now.  Can't wait to see what she comes up with!

Pirate Tales & Fish Scales

Today is my day to post over at Getting Cricky with K Andrew.  The stamp set I am showcasing today is Pirate Tales and Fish Scales!  I love this cartridge and it goes well with the Buccaneer Imagine Cartridge, if you happen to have it!

Doesn't this set have the cutest sentiments and images.  

On to my cards for today: 

Both of my cards are A2 sized.  My images were printed and cut at 3.2 using Buccaneer Cricut Imagine Cartridge.  For the croc card, I used Recollections Kraft card stock as a base, then my black layer is from CutCardStock.com; I love this paper it is nice and thick.  My background paper is actually digital paper I purchased forever ago and I can't remember where.  I cut my image using the layer feature and popped up each layer with foam tape to give it some dimension.   My sentiment was stamped in Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink and added some twine. 

For my second card, I used Recollections Kraft Card Stock as a base, my rust layer is from Colorbok (Wal-Mart) and as previously stated the image was cut from Buccaneer Cricut Imagine Cart and as before I used the layer feature and popped each layer up with some foam tape.  My background paper was printed from the same cartridge.  My sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Now onto my project:

My card is a typical A2 sized card, my yellow and white card stock is from Recollections, my background paper is from my scrap box.  My image was printed and cut at 4 inches from Lori's Garden using my imagine.  I added some bling from Hobby Lobby and my ribbon is from Michael's.  My awesome sentiment is from K Andrew Designs "Amazing You".  

I created this card for a very special lady in my life.....My MOM!  She is the most AMAZING woman I know.  She has been my biggest supporter, cheerleader and mentor.  My Mom is my very best friend.  I know most of you think well she is your mom that's what moms are suppose to do but our relationship is beyond any mother/daughter relationship out there.  My mom has always been my backbone.  Even through the darkest times of my life she reminded me there is a light at the end of the tunnel, just keep trying.  She has accomplished so much in her own life, she was a wife, mother and caregiver to not only my brother and me but everyone that ever needed her.  I have never known my mom to turn her back on anyone.  She consistently puts people before her no matter what may be going on in her own life.  A few years ago, my MOM had a stroke and I remember being so afraid for her, not only the thought of possibly losing her but wondering what would happen to this very active lady if in fact she didn't make a full recovery.  I couldn't imagine my Mom having any physical limitations.  By the grace of God she made a full recovery!  Since that date, I have made an extra effort to be sure my Mom knows how much I love and appreciate her.  I try to go on vacation with her every year and I ensure we do something she wants to do!  The love and respect I have for my MOTHER is beyond  words!  Mom, I know you are reading this and I want you to know, you are PERFECT, I couldn't ask for a better role model!  THANK YOU MOM FOR ALWAYS, ALWAYS BELIEVING IN ME EVEN WHEN I DIDN'T!  I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL!

My Cricut Craft Room - The Letter of the Day is "Y"

Good Morning my Bloggie Friends!  Today over at My Cricut Craft Room the Letter of the Day is Y!  So we are challenged to make something with either a cartridge that began with the letter Y or use an image that begins with the letter Y.  I choose the latter.  

I used Nate's ABC's to cut my Yo-Yo at 3.5 inches.  Take a look:

 So here is my Yo-Yo up close and personal. 

And here is the entire card!

I decided to use some yellow polka dot paper for my background.  Some red polka dotted ribbon from Michael's.   All of my paper is from my scrap box.  Still trying very hard to use up my scraps.  I inked around the edges of my background paper as well as all the pieces of my image with some Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink.  My cute little sentiment down in the corner is from K Andrew Designs Art Stamps - Winter Wishes.  My card is 9 1/4 X 4 and can fit into a #10 envelope.

Okay, let's get started!  For my card today, I used all of these awesome papers from my scrap box! So happy to finally be able to use up some of those scraps!

My Scraps

A2 sized card!  My barn scenery is from Nate's ABC's cut at 3 1/2.  This is going to be an invite for my sweet grandson who is turning 2 on July 1, with different papers of course (don't have enough scraps in this color, lol).  My daughter in law wanted a cow or duck on the card because his party theme is barn animals, so we added a cow.  I know the cow is nearly as big as the barn! LOL  It was cut from Create A Critter Cricut cartridge at 1 inch, who would have guessed.  The background paper was embossed using my cuttlebug and the Happy Birthday embossing folder.  I think when I make these, later this weekend, I'll leave off the fence because the cow looks like it's standing on top of it.  Any who, I hope everyone has enjoyed the hop this weekend and is inspired to clean out their scrap box!

My Cricut Craft Room Card Creating Tuesday - Military

Hello everyone!  Today is my day to post over at My Cricut Craft Room!  Our assignment for today was to make a Military card and who doesn't want to HONOR our Military, right!  If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have the freedom we have today.  This is what I came up with:

Using the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge, I cut the US Flag.  It didn't have a cut for the blue square with the stars so I improvised.  I may be missing a few stars I didn't count.  My image was cut at 3 1/2 inches using.  My card is a typical A2 sized card with each layer 1/4 inch smaller than the one before it.  the star background paper is from Paper Studio.  I added some red/white twine from The Twinery.  My sentiment is from K Andrew "Freedom isn't Free" stamp set, which you can find here.  My little star brad is from my stash, it was out of the package so I'm not sure where it came from.

Guest Designer at Exploring Cricut

Hello My Crafty Friends!  I am so excited and honored to be a guest designer over at Exploring Cricut!  For my project today, I created a card using 3 Birds on Parade.  It's a birthday card for my sweet Mommy!  

My adorable little birdie was cut at 3 inches from the 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge and can be found on page 63 in the handbook.  I doodled on the birdie using both my white and black jelly roll pens.  I added some Studio G glitter glue to the top of my cupcake and Frosted Lace Stickles to the pom pom.  I also added a googly eye.  All of my paper is from my ever growing scrap box.  I am hoping to get most of that used up.  My ribbon is from Michael's.  My sentiment is from K Andrew's "Owly Hoo Sentiments".  

For the inside of my card, I stamped the gift and the party hat from K Andrew's "Hooty Owl Accessories" stamp set using SU Regal Rose and Tempting Turquoise ink.

Smooth Sailing featuring K Andrew's Splash-tastic Summer

Hello Everyone!  Today is my day to post over at Getting Cricky With K Andrew!  The rest of this month, the design team will be featuring one of Kristal's stamp sets!  Today is Splash-tastic Summer, one of my favorite sets.  

SPLASH-TASTIC SUMMER

For my project today, I used Life is A Beach Cricut Cartridge!

My card is A2 sized with each layer cut 1/4 inch smaller than the bottom layer.  My background paper was printed on my Imagine using Buccaneer Cartridge.  My sailboat was cut at 3 inches.  I ran the bottom of the boat through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss dots folder.  For the blue water, I tore a piece of blue paper.  I punched a square and tuned it sideways to stamp my sentiment.

Happy Father's Day

Hello Everyone!  How are you today?  Are you working on something fun today?  I tell you, I am totally hooked on The Good Old Days Imagine Cartridge.  I made another Father's Day card with it. 

Don't you just love this cute little fisherman!

Card base is cut at 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 using Recollections Kraft Card stock.  I only added one layer to my card this time and it was cut at 5 1/4 X 4 from some Color Bok paper I've been having laying around.  My image was cut and printed at 3 inches using the Imagine.  I cut and printed the fisherman layer a second time so I could pop it up using some Recollections foam squares.    I added some blue ribbon from Michael's just to give it a little pop.  My sweet sentiment is from one of K Andrew's newest sets "Guy Talk".

My Cricut Craft Room - My IMAGINE-ation Monday

Happy Monday Everyone!  Today is my day to post for My Cricut Craft Room.  We have a choice today, we could either make a project using our Imagine or use the Letter V.  I decided to use my Imagine!  

For my card today I used The Good Old Days Imagine Cartridge.  My image was cut at 3 inches and can be found on page 16.  My card base is Kraft card stock from Recollections and is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  My reddish brown layer is from my scrap box and was cut at 5 1/4 X 4.  The background paper is from Color Bok  and was cut at 5 X 3 3/4.  My image is popped up using foam squares from Recollections.  I added some blue ribbon from Michael's.  My sentiment is from K Andrew Designs .  One of her newer sets called "Guy Talk".  It's a great set for all the men in your life.  LOL  I stamped it using CTMH Cocoa ink on some scrap paper and punched it out with my circle punch.  Added a foam square and there you have it.

Getting Cricky With K Andrew Simply Sunday Challenge - Summertime

Hello My Crafty Friends!  I hope everyone has had a great weekend thus far!  Today is the first Sunday of the month so that means it's time for a new Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky with K Andrew!  For today's challenge we need to make a "Summertime" project.  Well I just recently bought The Good Old Days Cricut Imagine Cartridge and I must say I'm loving it.  It has the cutest images on it and of course I had to use it today for my card.  Take a look:

My card is a typical A2 sized card.  The base is Kraft card stock from Recollections.  My light blue (Color Bok) mat is cut at 5 1/4 X 4 and the red polka dots (SU) is cut at

 5 X 3 3/4.  My adorable image can be found on page 24 of the handbook.  It was printed and cut from my Imagine at 2.5.  The blue background (sky) is actually cut from pg 16 it's the background for the car.  I liked it better.  I popped up my little boy with some foam squares from Recollections.  I added some baker's twine to the bottom along with a yellow button.  My awesome sentiment can be found in the Splash-tastic Summer stamp set from K Andrew Designs.  I used Memento Black Tuxedo ink and stamped it on some more of the Color Bok blue paper then cut it out with the smallest Lattice Rectangles die from Spellbinders.  I also popped it up.

I have made this card to share with you.... I used the Cricut cartridge American Alphabet...

My card today is a typical A2 sized card.  Each layer is 1/4 inch smaller than the one before.  The background paper is from DCWV The Glitter Matt Stack.  Thebutterfly was cut at 2.5 using layers and shadow.  My ribbon is from Wal-Mart.  The little flower button was from my stash.  My sentiment if from K Andrew Designs "Winged Things"!  I added some Copper Pearl Liquid Pearls, which can be found in Erica's webstore.  

For my second project, I used Beyond Birthdays Cartridge.......

Another A2 sized card.  My base is Color Bok, the background layer and the orange glitter oval is paper I received from Erica's webstore.  My ribbon is from Wal-Mart.  The image was cut at 2.5 using the layer feature.  I used Liquid Pearls in Flamingo and Daffodil for the center of the flowers.  I added some pink and white twin from The Twinery.  Both the oval and image are popped up using foam squares from Recollections.  My sentiment is from K Andrew Designs "Scripture Sayings" stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a ticket using the EK Success Ticket punch.  I teeny tiny butterfly is punched using a Studio G mini punch.  I inked around the edges with some green Martha Stewart ink.  

For my final project today, I used Block Party Cartridge......

All of my paper is from Color Bok.  Dad was cut at 3 inches and the bar-b-que pit was cut at 2.5 inches.  I cut the grass with my Martha Stewart fringe scissors.  My sentiment is from K Andrew's "Guy Talk".
