Terra Cotta Pot Easter Bunny

Hello My Crafty Friends!  I've been working on a couple of Easter Projects that I saw at Michael's and had to give 'em a try.  The first project I completed was the Bunny Rabbit & Bench.  You can find the instructions HERE.

WARNING THIS POST IS PICTURE HEAVY!!!!!

The supplies are all listed on the instruction sheet that can be found at the Michael's link above.  Sorry for the makeshift back drop (the card board box cover) but my walls are white and the bunny sorta blended in.  Also please excuse all the stuff piled up around my room certainly needs to be organized and cleaned up.  The bunny was really fun to make, although the directions say it can be done in 2 hrs it took me about a week working a little each night.  The acrylic paints I used were Apple Barrel and FolkArt.  My ribbon was purchased at Wal-Mart and I added Snow Tex to the pots to give them some texture.  For my flower on his hat, I used Paper Studio spare parts silk flowers and used a corsage pin as my center and also to attach it to the hat.  If for some reason the link doesn't work above and you would like the instructions for this project, send me an email and I can forward them to you.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Until Next Time, Happy Craftin'

Happy Confirmation Victoria!

My gorgeous niece Victoria made her Confirmation last night.  Of course being the procrastinator I am, I made her card at 6am yesterday morning! tee hee  So here it is my very quick last minute card!

My card is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  The white card base is Georgia Pacific Card stock from Wal-Mart.  I used my corner chomper to round the corners. The red layer is from Recollections and was cut at 5 1/4 X 4 and then I used an EK Success corner punch on the corners.  I added a piece of gold ribbon from Wal-Mart.

I cut my dove at 3 inches from the New Testament cartridge and popped it up using some foam tape from Wal-Mart.
All put together!
For my sentiment, I googled Confirmation sentiments and it brought up some cards and showed the inside verse so I picked one I liked.  You can find it here.

Thanks for stopping by!
Until Next Time, Happy Craftin'!

My Cricut Craft Room - Card Creating Tuesday

Hello my crafty friends!  Today is Tuesday and you know what that means...right!  You got it!  It's Card Creating Tuesday over at My Cricut Craft Room!  This week we had a sketch/color challenge.  Here is the sketch we had to use.

With the colors yellow, green and one other color.  I have to admit I had a bit of trouble with this one.  I don't know if it's because my life has been a bit insane or if my mojo is taking a hiatus.  Any who here is what I came up with.
My card is a typical A2 sized card.  All of my card stock is from Paper Studio.  My yellow mat was cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities Lattice Rectangles - the largest one.  My flowers were cut using the Flower Shoppe Cartridge.  My large flower was cut at 2.0 and the smaller flowers were cut at 1.75 inches.  As you can see, my other color is pink.  I used two shades of pin to create my flowers.  The pink pearls are Gradient Jewels from Creative Charms.  The swirls coming from my flowers are made using green glitter glue.  And my awesome sentiment is from K Andrew's Scripture Sayings Stamp Set and was stamped using Regal Rose ink from SU.

Don't forget to check out Erica's Challenge Blog by clicking HERE! Now head over to My Cricut Craft Room to see all the projects created by my DT Sisters!  And just a reminder the 100 Blog Hop over at My Cricut Craft Room is in 2 weeks - April 7th & 8th!  Hope to see you then!

My inside oval was cut at 6. 25 from Plantain Schoolbook cricut cartridge.  All of the paper used on my card is from Color Bok found at Wal-Mart.  My sentiment is from Scripture Sayings by K Andrew.  To get your own set of these awesome stamps or to check out all of her stamps click HERE

A Winner and an Apology

Hello My Crafty Friends!  First off I want to apologize for not posting much these past two weeks on my blog. Sometimes life just seems to get in the way.  Secondly, I want to say sorry for not picking the winner from the Getting Cricky In Like A Lion Out Like A Lamb Blog Hop.  I was suppose to pick the winner on Wednesday and as you would have it, LIFE happened again.  My Mom was in a pretty serious car accident.  She is doing much better now but still hurting.  I spent most of the day Wednesday at the ER with her, then played catch up at work on Thursday and finally getting a bit of rest on Friday.  So here I am on Saturday and just getting to picking a winner.

And the Winner is.........................

WINTER WISHES

On to my project:

My card is 5X5 square card.  My light blue card stock is Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.  My background paper (spring) is DCWV from the The Blossoms and Butterflies Stack and is cut at 4 1/2 X 4 1/2.  My cute little lion was cut at 4 inches from the Everyday Paper Dolls cart.  I cut it twice once in the lighter yellow orange card stock and once in the darker yellow orange card stock.  I cut his mane (not sure that is the proper word) off the darker colored lion and pop dotted it onto the lighter colored lion using SU deminsionals.  I hid the face freatures using my gypsy and stamped a Peachy Keen face from the Critter Faces Stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I added some Glossy Accents to it's nose.  I chalked around the edges with brown chalk.  My grass was cut at 2 inches from the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge.  I stamped my sentiment from the "Winter Wishes" set.  I stamped it on a piece of purple card stock using the same Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I just cut the ends to resemble a banner and used a pencil to shape it.  I used Color Bok card stock for the lion, grass and banner.

What blog hop would be complete without BLOG CANDY!  I'll have some surprise blog candy for one lucky person.  All you have to do is leave me a comment below telling me why you do/don't like spring.  I won't require you to become a follower or subscribe, but if you do, leave a 2nd comment telling me so for an additional chance to win.  I'll be picking the winner on Wednesday, March 21st giving everyone a chance!

My IMAGINE ation Monday

Happy Monday my Crafty Friends!  Today is my day to post over at My Cricut Craft Room and it's IMAGINE ation Monday!  For those of you who just happened upon my blog; each Monday over at My Cricut Craft Room, as part of the DT we are challenged to use our Cricut Imagine, E2, Cricut Mini or CCR to create a project.  I chose to use my Cricut Imagine and the Buccaneer cartridge for my projects.
My first project is a 3-D project.

I cut my treasure chest using the fit to page feature on my Imagine.  I folded it up and there you go a cute treat box or gift box.  I stamped a cute little sentiment from the Pirate Tales & Fish Scales Stamp set by K Andrew.  I hand cut the little flag and added some twin from the Twinery and inked around the edges using brown ink from Martha Stewart.

My next project is a card I created using the same Buccaneer Imagine cartridge.

My pirate girl is cut at 3 inches using the combined feature so that it printed and cut in one piece rather than in layers.  Isn't she adorable?  My card base is Recollections craft card stock cut at 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and folded it in half making is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  My map layer is cut at 5 1/4 X 4.  The map paper is actually some digital paper I purchased a long time ago, sorry I don't remember from whom.  I distressed it using my Tim Holtz paper distresser.  I inked around the edges using some MS brown ink.   My sentiment is again from Pirate Tales & Fish Scales Stamp set  from K Andrew.  The cute little skull is from the same set.  I also used some twin from the Twinery.

Happy Birthday Cupcake

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!  Woo Hoo!  Half of the work week is done!!!!!!!  The weather has been awesome over here and I was hoping to get to spend some time in my yard getting ready for Spring, well that's not happening and it looks like it'll be raining this weekend.  Just my luck! {sigh} Well on to happier things.  I was playing in my craft room last night and made a card using my Imagine since my new E2 hasn't arrived yet and my E doesn't want to play nice.  I decided to make a card using that sweet little cupcake on page 5 of the handbook for Better Together.  I love the way the Imagine prints and cuts.  I'm still learning how to use it and I'm not so sure if or how to move my blade around.  I finally mastered that on my E2 Anniversary edition when it decided not to cut at all anymore. : (  Ok enough about my rotten luck with my machines lately on to my card.

Okay so I started with a 81/2 X 5 1/2 piece of yellow card stock from Recollections Primary pack.  Scored it at 4 1/4 and folded it in half.  Then I cut a piece of striped card stock from DCWV The Glitter Mat Stack at 4 X 5 1/4.  I love this stack!  Note to self get another pack of this awesome paper in both the 12X12 and Mat Stack sizes.  This stack has the cutest paper in it.  Sorry sometimes I digress.  I added some yellow ribbon to the top of my striped paper using the cheater method.  Ribbon is from Wal-Mart.  I adhered the mat to my base with my trusty pink ATG gun.

I cut and printed my cute little cup cake at 3.0 using my Imagine and the layers feature. I then cut a black layer at 3.5 to create the shadow.  Just a note, I tried cutting it a bit smaller but it didn't leave enough black.  I also tried printing it black and cutting it and it left a little bit brown around the black so I re-cut it using black card stock with the print only feature.  Again, I just got my Imagine for Christmas and am still learning how to use it so you may be able to adjust the outline so that there is no brown when you print and cut.  Rambling again!  I pop dotted my cupcake onto the black layer using foam tape from Wal-Mart, one thickness.  I added some googly eyes to the already cute eyes that are cut and printed when you use the layer feature.  I added some glossy accents to her mouth to make it shine.

She was cute but she still needed a little more sparkle so I took out my stickles and added some dots to the center of each of what I will call stick stars.  I used, stardust, waterfall, cotton candy and gold because I don't have any yellow.

Finally I adhered her to my card using some Recollections foam squares to give her more depth.  I tied a piece of yellow ribbon in a knot rather than making a bow and stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment using stamps from two K Andrew Stamp Sets.  Happy is from Winter Wishes and Birthday is from Coffee & Tea for You & Me! For a final touch, I added that sweet little flower from Creative Charms

I am entering this into the Cricut Cardz Challenge #103 at CARDZ TV

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a GREAT day!
Until Next Time, Happy Craftin'!

Happy Birthday Ava!

This past weekend was my sweet little Godchild Ava's 1st Birthday and she had a Princess Party!  What an awesome time she had!  She is adorable, one of the prettiest babies I have ever seen!  Yes, I am biased! LOL What does this have to do with crafting you ask, well I helped a little with the decorations.  I used the Princess Party Event Cricut Cartridge.  Take a look!

This is actually the first draft of the invite.
In the end it was pink and lavender with pink paper on the inside and I didn't take any pics. {GASP}

My 3-D Castle Center Piece.  I had fun making it and it was actually pretty easy.  My pink and lavender card stock is from paper studio.  I cut the pink base using the fit to page feature and then cut the lavender using the size the Expression told me to.  LOL   I added the number 1 from Storybook Cricut Cartridge since this is Princess Ava's 1st Birthday!

The Banner!  I have to tell you, I have never made a banner before!  It was fun.  I cut the actual flags and crowns from Princess Party and the letters from Storybook.   The flags are cut at 8 inches, the crowns at 12 inches.  I know it seems as tho the crowns would be bigger but they are actually pretty small because they are the inside layer of something.  (Sorry I am doing this at work and can't remember what it goes to, I'll update this later.)
The letters were cut at 4 1/2.

A closer look at the banner.  The crowns and the letters were popped up with some Recollections foam dots.  The pink paper is from Recollections, the yellow paper is from my stash and the pretty purple paper is from DCWV Glam Girl.

The cake, not one of my better creations.  The colors are actually lavender, pink and dark pink.

And none other than Princess Ava herself!

Thanks for stopping in today!
Until Next Time, Happy Craftin'!

My Cricut Craft Room - Letter of The Day "J"

Good Morning My Crafty Friends!  Today is Letter of The Day or Imagination Monday over at My Cricut Craft Room.  I decided to go with the Letter J.  We could either make a project using a cartridge beginning with the letter or cut am image beginning with the letter.  I chose to use a "J" cartridge, Jolly Holidays.

For my card today, I used the Jolly Holiday Cricut Cartridge.
I started with a green 8 1/2 X 11 piece of card stock from Recollections and cut it at 5 1/2 making it 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and folded it in half finally making it 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  I than cut a piece of light blue card stock from Color Bok at 5 1/4 X 4 to create my second layer.  My final layer (the background paper) is from DCWV the Christmas Combo Mat Stack and was cut at 5 X 3 3/4.  My blue ribbon is  from Michael's.  My image was cut at 3 inches using my Imagine.  I cut all the layers as instructed in the handbook.  My sentiment is from K Andrew's Winter Wishes Stamp set, which just happens to be one of my favorites.  To get your own set of these awesome stamps that are made right here and the US and benefit charity, go to Erica's Craftroom (Webstore) or directly to K Andrew's site

For my fist project today, I have used the Father's Day Seasonal Cricut Cartridge.

For my card base, I cut some light blue Recollections card stock.  I cut it at 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and folded in half making it 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  My green layer is cut at 5 1/4 X 4 and is also from Recollections.  My back ground paper is from DCWV - The Glitter Mat Stack and is cut at 5 X 3 3/4.  My bat and ball image was cut at 3 inches, cutting each layer.  I adhered it to a piece of white card stock and cut it out by hand to make the ball white.  My ribbon is from Weal- Mart.  My sweet sentiment is from K Andrew's Splash-tastic Summer stamp set.  I stamped it on a piece of white card stock and cut the ends off and inked around the edges.

My next card was made using the New Arrival Cricut Cartridge!

This cartridge is one of my favorite cartridges.  This is a typical A2 card.  I used pink card stock from my scrap box as a base and inked around the edges with some SU Certainly Celery ink.  I added a yellow layer also from my scrap box and inked around the edges with the same ink.  I rounded all the corners with my corner chomper.  My images were cut at 3 inches.  I added some light green glitter glue to the Stork's hat and used my black gelly roll pen to add some faux stitching to him.  I then pop dotted him up on some foam tape to give him that flying look.  I added some wiggly eyes to my baby along with a piece of pink and white baker's twine as a bow.  I used my white gelly roll pen to add faux stitch lines to the pink blanket and pop dotted the baby up as well.  I stamped my sentiment on the blanket using K Andrew's Owly Hoo Sentiments and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  To get your own set of these awesome stamps click here!    You can also get her stamps in Erica's online shop.  My ribbon is from Michael's.

And for my final project today, I used the Tie the Knot Cricut Cartridge.

My 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 inch card base is cut from Recollections Precious Metals pack using the silver sheet.  My white layer is from Georgia Pacific (Wal-Mart) and ran through the Cuttlebug using the Sizzix Tulip Frame folder from Stampin' Up.  I cut the purple center layer from Recollections Jewel pack.  I cut my image (sentiment) at 1 1/2 using the same silver paper.  I then cut it again using the shadow feature on white card stock.  I pop dotted it on the purple layer and then added some crystals in the corners.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today, as you can see I like clean and simple.  What blog hop would be complete without blog candy, right.  Well for your chance to win some surprise blog candy from me, just leave a comment on my blog.  I won't require you to become a follower, but if you do or if you are already a follower, leave a 2nd comment telling me so.
