Happy Birthday Ava!

This past weekend was my sweet little Godchild Ava's 1st Birthday and she had a Princess Party!  What an awesome time she had!  She is adorable, one of the prettiest babies I have ever seen!  Yes, I am biased! LOL What does this have to do with crafting you ask, well I helped a little with the decorations.  I used the Princess Party Event Cricut Cartridge.  Take a look!

This is actually the first draft of the invite.
In the end it was pink and lavender with pink paper on the inside and I didn't take any pics. {GASP}

My 3-D Castle Center Piece.  I had fun making it and it was actually pretty easy.  My pink and lavender card stock is from paper studio.  I cut the pink base using the fit to page feature and then cut the lavender using the size the Expression told me to.  LOL   I added the number 1 from Storybook Cricut Cartridge since this is Princess Ava's 1st Birthday!

The Banner!  I have to tell you, I have never made a banner before!  It was fun.  I cut the actual flags and crowns from Princess Party and the letters from Storybook.   The flags are cut at 8 inches, the crowns at 12 inches.  I know it seems as tho the crowns would be bigger but they are actually pretty small because they are the inside layer of something.  (Sorry I am doing this at work and can't remember what it goes to, I'll update this later.)
The letters were cut at 4 1/2.

A closer look at the banner.  The crowns and the letters were popped up with some Recollections foam dots.  The pink paper is from Recollections, the yellow paper is from my stash and the pretty purple paper is from DCWV Glam Girl.

The cake, not one of my better creations.  The colors are actually lavender, pink and dark pink.

And none other than Princess Ava herself!

Thanks for stopping in today!
Until Next Time, Happy Craftin'!
Miranda :)

  1. she's beautiful and I love your party invitations, cake, banner - I have that cartridge and have had fun with the crowns along with the shoe!!! Also, you were the winner of the Mard Gras Hop that I had on February 21st and apologize for not getting to you sooner as you won the gift card for Michaels and just need your mailing address. With Anita being ill and myself it has been hard getting back in the groove! Thank you sew much for hopping with us at Her Craftiness (http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/)
