Hello My Crafty Friends! This is my very first DT post over at My Cricut Craft Room! Today is Card Creating Tuesday and it was a sketch/color/theme challenge. Below is the sketch we had to use along with the colors red, pink and brown and to make things just a tad bit more interesting, it has to be in a Valentine theme!
For my project, I rotated (or flipped) the sketch to the left. Here is my take on the sketch!
The red base is 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 scored and folded at 4 1/4. The paper is Recollections "Gemstones" which I picked up at Michael's. The brown mat is 5 1/4 X 3 3/4 and is also Recollections paper "Precious Metals". I love both of these papers because they have some shimmer to them. My next mat (with the words on it) is 4 3/4 X 1 1/2. This DSP is Colorbok from Wal-Mart. My brown and pink polka dot paper and yes it is brown and pink is 3 3/8 X 1 1/4. This cute paper is from Me & My Big Ideas, also purchased at Michael's. My "kiss" was cut from the Tie the Knot Cricut Cartridge page 53 in the handbook using Kiss, Kiss-s and Blackout/Shadow. Each layer was cut 2 1/2 inches. On the lightest pink, I added some cotton candy stickles. I mean which set of lips are ready for kissing without any gloss! I placed three red rhinestones at the top left for some bling and my "a kiss for you" sentiment is from the brand new I Heart You Valentine Set from K Andrew. To get your own set or see all the stamps she has available click HERE! I stamped the sentiment in Regal Rose ink from SU but it wasn't quite dark enough so I went over it with my hot pink gel pen!
I hope you enjoyed my first project for My Cricut Craft Room. Don't forget to pop over there and check out all the awesome projects from my super talented DT Sisters! As always, thanks for stopping by!
Until Next Time, Happy Craftin'!
