Since New Year's Day is just a few days away, I decided to create a card to wish a Happy New Year to all my sweet friends.

I used Create A Critter 2 to create by card today.  My cute little penguin was cut at 3.5 with my E2.  All of my paper is from my scrap box.  I embossed the purple paper prior to cutting the layers.  My awesome ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  My sentiment is from My Creative Time "Mixed Holiday Sentiments".

To make my little guy a little more interesting, I put him on an action wobble!  In the above pic, he is in action!  LOL

Next on the hop is AN'JENIC!

And the winner is................

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!  Did everyone have a wonderful Christmas?  I sure did!  I got a few crafty gifts but mostly personal things like, diamond earrings, and a charm for my charm bracelet, pj's and those kinds of things.  I did get a Bind It All from my Mommy!!!!!  And a Michael's gift card from my secretary!!!  But mostly my Christmas was awesome because I got to spend it with FAMILY.  We woke up early on Christmas morning went to Church then came home and cooked a wonderful dinner for both Tommy and my family so it was wonderful!

Ok enough about me.......I know you all want to know who the winner of the surprise blog candy is.  The winner is.......................  #9  Kathy's-Krafts said......

Heavenly Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Heavenly Christmas" Blog Hop!

This blog hop is all about Christmas!  Are you ready?  I still have some decorating to do and a few more gifts to buy.  Time has totally gotten away from me this year.

If you've hopped along from the my super talented friend DIANA then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Lisa's Blog (you'll want to catch up on all the FUN!!)...

For my project today, I made a money holder card.  It seems as tho as my nieces and nephews get older all they want for Christmas is cash............

I only added a few stones because this card is for my nephew and I didn't want to girl it up too much.  LOL

Now that I am looking at the inside, I think it needs a little something more so I'm going to add some trim along the flap that holds the money.

Finally, rather than putting my cards in envelopes, I'll be tying ribbons around them and maybe adding a small tag or maybe even some bells.

Here are a few tags I made for some of my gifts.  These were all cut using my Cricut!

I am the last stop on the hop and since you were kind enough to go all the way through, I will be giving a little surprise blog candy!  What do you have to do to enter you ask......just leave me a comment telling me what is your favorite Christmas memory.  I won't require you to become a follower, but if you do, leave a 2nd comment telling me so and you'll earn an extra entry!

I'll be announcing the winner on Wednesday, December 26th  so be sure to check back!!!!

Taking some time off!

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!  It's that time of the year again, whew only 15 days to Christmas!

Sorry, I don't have a project todayAt this time of the year, I find myself super busy with family and of course working, so with that being said, I will be taking some time off from crafting.  I know so sad!  But honestly, I just won't have the time to dedicate to my blog for the next couple of weeks.  I am hoping to pop in at least once a week, but we'll have to see.

I am scheduled to be in a blog hop on December 22nd so be sure to pop in to see what awesome Christmas projects we'll have!

My plan is to be back on track in January, which just happens to be my birthday month!  I smell a blog hop brewing!  LOL  If you think you may want to participate in a birthday blog hop with me, send me an email at miranda at nanasscrapspot dot com.  I would love to have you!

Ok so I play Poker Keno once a month with my Mom, SIL and three of my cousins.  We have a lot of fun playing and I wanted to make them a little something to let them know I think they are pretty special.  This is what I came up with:

Let me just say this is only the second time I've worked with vinyl and the first time I've ever layered it, so give me a break on it not being perfect.  LOL  I put an initial on each glass and on the back I put a fleur de lis of course!  We live in New Orleans!!!!!

My cousin, Shay saw my gumball machine I made and really loved it so I made one for her and filled it with Christmas M&M's.

I hope you enjoyed my projects!

Welcome to the "All About Me" Blog Hop!

Be sure to follow all the directions to win Shelly's awesome blog candy:

Okay, as I mentioned above making an All About Me project has been a challenge.  So here is my project, I decided to make a two page layout to show some of my favorite things and tell you a little about me:

So let me tell you a little about this page. Obviously this is me in the center of the page. LOL  To the left of me, is one of my favorites....Cricut of course and to represent paper crafting, is a pair of scissors on my left.  On the lower right is a pic of a dinosaur cake I made, another passion of mine......cake decorating.  On the bottom left is a pic of my new car (well I purchased it in May).  The first new car I, myself, bought since I got divorced 17 years ago.  A huge accomplishment for me.

Now for this page, these pics represent the most important things in my life.  My family of course.  That's what makes me tick!  That's what gets me up in the morning and keeps me going.  So let me tell you a little about them, in the top left corner is a pic of my three children with their spouses and children taken on Thanksgiving.  In the center is my son Michael with my Mom.  Top right is the love of my life, Tommy!  Center left, is Christina and Shaun, Tommy's children.  Right center is my son, Chris with Ashley and their new baby Cayden.  Bottom left is Derek, Tommy's son Shaun's little guy and last but not least is Christina and her son to be husband, Phillip.  I couldn't ask for better children, all 5 of them have a special place in my heart!  These pics of course only represent a small portion of my family and even the ones that aren't pictured are super important to me!  So, in a nutshell, I am a Mother, Nana, Spouse, Daughter, Sister, Crafter and of course a Paralegal by day!!!

Next on the hop is KIM!

Here is the entire line up should you get lost along the way:
