I hope everyone had a Great Thanksgiving and safe Black Friday Shopping!  Both were great for me!  I hosted Thanksgiving at my house and was able to get some Black Friday Shopping in!  Look what I picked up!

YIPPY!!!!!!!!  I picked it up at Wal-Mart for $187.00!  It was such a good deal, I couldn't pass it up! 
Sorry for the delay in posting the winner, I had some computer issues for a few days!  But it's all worked out now for the most part!  Okay, okay on to the winner, I used Random. Hi Miranda!

Both your cards look fabulous! I love how you used the sentiments and combined various techniques such as stamping, coloring, etc. My fav Christmas gift ever would be a little peddle fire truck "Santa" brought me when I was five. Remember the kind you would sit in that had a little bell you could ring? Well, Christmas morning my two older brothers got to the tree before me and just assumed that fire truck was for them. Oh the fun I had when my parents told them to get off of it because it was mine! lol! The look on my brothers faces was the best Christmas gift I ever had! LOL! Forty one years later I still see their faces and laugh about it!

Quick & Simple

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!  Its hump day and the last day of the week for some of us "thanks" to the Thanksgiving Holiday!  I've been so busy cleaning and painting I didn't realize I hadn't posted in a few days.  So I sat down at my scrap desk this morning and made a quick and simple card using K Andrew's Stamps!  I apologize for the picture as I took it with my iPhone because somebody forgot to charge her camera! OOPS!!!! Any who here is my quick and simple card:

 

My card is a typical A2 sized card.  All of the papers used are from my scraps!  I know the polka dot paper is DCWV. The others......can't remember!  My cute stamps are from K Andrew Designs Art Stamps of course! These are the sets I used!

Getting Cricky - Simple Sunday Challenge - Give Thanks

Happy Sunday everyone!  Today is another Simple Sunday challenge over at Getting Cricky.  This week we were asked to create a project reflecting something you are thankful for!  


For my project, I used the "Scripture Sayings" stamp set.  Click here to get your own set and to see all the other stamps that are available. 

  
I used a variety of paper for this card, most of which were scraps.  My cornucopia was cut from the Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Cart.  My ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the cute little leaf brads are from Recollection, which my Mommy gave me!  heehee  My tag was punched with an EK Success punch (sorry I don't recall the name of it) and layered on a yellow piece of card stock, which I hand cut to resemble the punch.  The verse was perfect as I have so very much to be THANKFUL for!  The Lord has Blessed me abundantly!  Take a look at the other verses on this set!

Winter Wishes

For my 1st project, I used the "Winter Wishes" mix and match sentiments! My card is a typical A2 sized card.  Base: 5 1/2 X4 1/4; Layer 1: 5 1/4 X 4; Layer 2: 5 X 3 3/4.  My Nativity image is a wooden stamp I picked up at Michael's and it is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with my Sargent watercolor pencils.  Blended with an SU blending pen.  My DSP is from DCWV Christmas Combo.  All other cardstock is from my stash.  My sentiment is from Winter Wishes. Pearls are from Creative Charms - Gradient Jewels.  Gold stickles for the halos.  I inked around the edges of my Nestabilities scalloped oval with gold ink.

For my 2nd project, I used a combination of both the Winter Wishes and Coffee and Tea for You and Me stamps.  I saw this really cute gift card holder in the November Issue of Card Maker Magazine and had to give it a try.  I used the diagram below to make the card.  My DSP is from DCWV Christmas Combo and the actual gift card holder was made with craft cardstock from Recollections.  I just stuck a McDonald's gift card in it to show you how it fits.  The words "Have a" & "Grande" are from Coffee and Tea for You and Me and "Christmas" is from Winter Wishes.  The adorable coffee beans and coffee to go cups are from the Coffee and Tea Time Image set which is a companion to the sentiments! I  wrote the To and From on the cups to use as tags. The silver pearls around my sentiment is liquid pearls - Silver Pearls.

Season's Greetings

Hello Crafty Friends:
I'm still working on Christmas Cards and exploring the K Andrew's "Winter Wishes" stamp set! Click here to see all the K Andrew's Stamps. 

For my card today, I cut the card base from Wild Cards - fit to page.  I cut the liner for the front of the card using DCWV Christmas Combo stack.  The white mat was cut 2 X 3 1/2 the red layer was cut 1 3/4 X 3 1/4.  The bells were cut at 3 1/4 from the Scandinavian Christmas Cards Cricut Cart using all the layers except for the ribbon.  I opted to use real ribbon.  The tag used for my sentiment is from Lacey Labels Cricut Cart at 2 inches.  And my sentiment is from K Andrew's Winter Wishes stamp set.

Snow Much Fun

My life has been a bit crazy lately with all the home projects and the unexpected 3 am trips to the ER with Tommy; I haven't had much "FUN" time lately!  Turns out "T" has a bad gallbladder that will be coming out next Tuesday, problem solved - hopefully!  Living room painted and starting the hall tomorrow.  YIPPEE!  The other rooms will have to wait until after Thanksgiving!  Enough about my crazy life.....on to happier things!  ; ) 


Some people enjoy retail therapy and me, well..........I enjoy paper, bling and ink therapy!  FINALLY I was able to get into my craft room and create something!  With winter coming our way (well not our way WINTER never really comes my way, I live in South Louisiana!) I thought it would be appropriate to make a "Snow much Fun" card!  One of my all time favorite Cricut carts is "A Child's Year" it is filled with so many cute images.  Put that together with  a K Andrew Designs stamp set and TA-DA  you have a card!  OK, OK, I'm a little delirious I still need to catch up on my sleep!  Anyway I did create a card and here it is:

A Weight Update

Good Morning Everyone!  

I am working on a project but it isn't ready just yet!  I've kinda been cleaning and organizing my room.  I still have lots of work to do, moving some furniture around and painting my house.  

But I do have a weight update for you guys, a few weeks ago I mentioned that I started weight watchers online on July 22nd and have been slowly taking off the weight.  Today is my weigh in day, I lost 2 lbs this week!!!!!!!!! YIPPY!  So my total weight lost is 24.1 lbs, I have a long way to go but at least its coming off!  Again I apologize for not having a project today, but I promise to get back on posting regularly.  There are a few crafty things that I am trying out like applying to a couple of design teams something I have never done.  But with the encouragement of my mom, I gave it a shot.  I won't be totally disappointed if I don't get picked as I have a lot to learn still.
