Happy Halloween

No project today!  Although I did have a pretty crafty weekend!  My mom and I went shopping at Hobby Lobby and Michael's on Saturday and picked up tons of great items on sale.  Then on Sunday I made 30 Halloween treat bags with some cute toppers (which I did not take a pic of, silly me) for my sweet grandson, Brayden's class!  And tonight, I plan to go Trick-or-treating with Brayden and my daughter! Hope everyone has a Safe and Happy Halloween!

HIMCR Challenge #17 - Card Size #10

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I was able to get some more painting done in my house!  My goal is to have the bulk of it done before Thanksgiving, which is about 6 weeks away.  The only problem is that I can only work on it on Saturdays because of work.  Enough about me! On to the challenge:

My mom sent me a link to this blog, Hiding In My Craft Room, which turned out to be a really great blog.  She has a challenge going on right now to make a #10 card!  This is my first card with those dimensions.  So my card is 9 1/4 X 4 and it'll fit into a #10 envelope.
My card base is 9 1/4 X 4 in green "Recollections" cardstock from Michael's.  I used a piece of blue and a piece of white from my scraps and hand cut both to kinda make it look like the sky and snow on the ground.  I feel in love with these houses on the Jolly Holidays Cricut Lite Cartridge.  I cut my houses at 3 1/2 inches with the layers. I added some stickles to the snow to make it sparkle.  I added a piece of silver ribbon that I picked up at Walmart last year.  My sentiment is stamped in Memento Black Ink and the stamps are from K Andrews Art Stamps "Winter Wishes"!  I am really liking this stamp set!

Until Next Time,
Happy Craftin'!

What I've Been Up To!

What have I been up to you ask!  Well getting ready for my Grandson Brayden's Halloween Birthday Party this past Saturday of course!  My oldest Grandson, Brayden, is 6 now and he had a fun filled birthday party.  I made my first Pinata!  It was a pumpkin/jack-o-lantern.  It was a lot of fun but took nearly a week to make!  And all of 10 minutes to destroy.  TeeHee!  Then of course I made his b-day cake.  A pretty simple one actually.  He wanted a Haunted House cake using an old Wilton Pan I had forever.  He saw it and decided that's what he wanted.  Here are a few pics:
 The Infamous Pinata!

 The Cake
His Favorite Gift from his Grandpa Mike!

Another Pic of the cake! Just the house.

I apologize for the quality of the pics, was having a bad camera day! LOL

Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!

Halloween Birthday Party Invite

Oh my, I just realized I haven't posted anything in a month.  I must say my life has been incredibly busy!  I know, I know no excuse....YOU MUST TAKE TIME TO CRAFT!!!!!!  I have made a few things in the last month but really haven't had the time to keep up with my blog, shame on me! :(  I will try harder I promise! I have been busy making invites for my sweet Grandson Brayden's Halloween birthday party!  Take a look, let me know what you think!

Please excuse the quality of the pics, I took them with my iPhone at the kitchen table to send to my daughter for approval.  LOL  These have to go in the mail so I keep embellishing kinda light.  My images are cut from Happy Hauntings: Tree: all layers cut at 3.5  Headless Horseman: all layers cut at 3.  I added glossy accents to my pumpkin and the eyes on my tree just to give it a little shine.  The "you're invited to a" is from MPS invitation only stamp set.  It is not really glued down yet, that's why its a bit crooked, I actually decided to ink around the edges, so my finished product that I don't have a pic of is a little different than this one.  I printed the actual information on my computer and added it to the inside.  I also inked around the edges of these on the final products.  I made 20 of these invites!

On a personal note, I don't normally post anything personal on my blog but I am so SUPER DUPER EXCITED I really need to share.  I decided about 11 weeks ago to make some life changes one of the most important is my health translating to being way over weight!  I joined Weight Watchers Online and am happy to report that in 11 weeks I have lost a total of 18.5 lbs and approximately 3 inches overall!  This is a huge accomplishment for me as I love, love, love food, especially fast food!  I have given up a lot but I must say I feel tons better!  Thanks Callie for all the great encouragement!  You are my inspiration!!!!!!!!!!  Sorry for the ramble but as I said I am bursting at the seems with my accomplishment thus far!

Have an Awesome Weekend!
Until Next Time (hopefully not so long, lol), Happy Crafting!
Miranda :)
