Happy Sunday

I hope everyone's holiday weekend is going great!  We are still getting rain from Tropical Storm Lee but other than that its been a good weekend.  I was able to spend the day scrapbooking.  I got a couple of simple pages done of our trip to Tupelo/Mempis back in 2009.  I know I am way behind on scrapbooking but I am trying!  LOL  It was actually when I came home from this trip that I purchased my first cricut with my left over money from my trip!  Any who here are my pages that I made today:

Halloween Wreath

Since I was locked in my house today, due to Tropical Storm Lee, I spent the day in my craft room making things!  I saw a wreath similar to this in SU's Holiday Mini and thought I would give it a try but with a Halloween theme (Their's was Fall).
 

I cut a wreath from a cereal box using my gypsy.  I placed an 8 inch circle inside of a 10 inch circle and cut it. My rosettes are made from a variety of paper including: Recollections, Cut Cardstock.Com, 

Colorbok and SU.  Each rosette is placed on a 1 1/2 inch circle as a base. 

Some have buttons as centers and some have gems as centers.  

I cut a spider web from the Chic and Scary Cart on a  9X12 piece of black card stock, fit to page. 

I cut the Happy Halloween from the same cart at 2.75.  My green ribbon is some I picked up from Michael's.  I do still need to add either a piece of ribbon or something as a hanger.  

Because it is made from paper and I don't have a storm door, I'll be using it as inside decor.

Hope Happens - Cricutless Card

Hi Crafty Friends!

I hope everyone is staying dry.  Here in my little corner of the bloggy world (South Louisiana), we are feeling the effects of Tropical Storm Lee.  As of now, its just a lot of rain and a little wind.  Its just nasty! Now on to some more important things.....a few days ago, I made this card for my sweet cousin, Christina who is more like my sister.  As I stated in my last post, she was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor.  We are waiting for the results of her biopsy which she had on Tuesday.  I made this card to help keep her positive.

Clear Rhinestones

I cut several of the flowers and butterflies from some of the scrap and pop dotted it on the card.  

Added some bling, stamped my sentiment (Scrappy Moms Stamps) and its all done. 

Sweet and Simple and not a lot of bulk for mailing.

Wacky Wednesday #49 - Halloween

Hi All!  Sorry its been a while since I last posted but sometimes "LIFE" happens!  Things have been a bit stressful in my world but we are working through it.  Please keep my sweet cousin, Christina in your prayers as she was diagnosed with a brain tumor last week and had a biopsy on Tuesday.  We are impatiently waiting for the results and praying for the best!

On to my entry for the Wacky Wednesday #49 - Halloween.  I just received the Teresa Collins Chic & Scary Cricut Cartridge and this challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to use it!

Recipe: 

Paper - just some cardstock from my stash, nothing fancy!

Cartridge: Chic & Scary

Ribbon: Harvest - from Michael's 

Stickles (Silver)  for the spider web and the spider's eyes. 

I also put some stickles on my finger and kinda rubbed it all over the spider 

for a very subtle effect.  

You really can't see it in the pic. 

Red paint for the spider's pinchers/teeth. (Not really sure what the proper name is)
