Baby Carriage

I saw this on a blog a couple of years ago. Sorry I can't remember where or who it was to give them proper credit. But I copied the instructions in case I ever got brave enough to give it a try. Of course mine is not exactly like the one I saw. Anyway if you want to give it a go, these are the instructions I copied (again I apologize for not writing the blog down that I saw this on):

"The box part began with a 4" x 5" piece of cardstock. I scored 1" around all edges, cut in on two ends so that I could fold it up into the box, and glued it. I made a box that was 3 15/16" x 4 15/16" to use as a liner. I ran it through the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug before forming into the box shape. The little hood is a large scalloped Nestie circle, cut in half. Wheels were punched from several punches."

I didn't have the scalloped Nestie Circle nor all of the circle punches. I cut all the scalloped circles using my cricut. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Father' s Day!

Brayden and I spent the morning making Father's Day Gifts for the two most important men in his life, his Paw-Paw Tommy and his Paw-Paw Mike. We bought a picture mug kit from Michael's, however, it wouldn't seal properly around the picture. So I googled modge podge on glass and came up with a post by Maria Williams click here its making tiles but same concept. So Brayden and I tried it out and these were our finished products. The top cup is Brayden and his Mommy (Rachelle) a gift for his Paw-Paw Mike.

This cup is for Paw-Paw Tommy and is a pic of them on Brayden's first fishing trip with his first fish!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Father's Day and spends time with all those special "Dads" in their life!

Happy Birthday Mom

Once a month my mom, 4 of my cousins and myself get together to play poker-keno. I know, I know, I'm really not that old! We have a really awesome time and we are guaranteed to get at least that one day a month together. We have been doing that for over 20 years. Well if its someone's b-day we make a cake and get a gift for them and since I'm trying my hand at making cards (for about 8 mths off and on), I make one for everyone's b-day. This month is my Mom's b-day and she loves to garden so I made a shaped card. Check it out!
I used my gypsy to design the shaped card using the Walk in my Garden cart. I cut the image at 51/4 inches using the shadow feature and then cut the image again at the same size not using the shadow feature to create the layered look. I used my nestabilities to make the scallop for the image. The Sentiment is from Scrappy Moms. I added some bling as the holes and doodled with my black gelly roll.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Baby Shower Invite

I have been working all day on trying to come up with a baby shower invite for my BFF's sister. Her colors are green and pink, easy enough but her pattern has this sweet little strange looking bird on it. Kinda a cross between a pigeon and a chicken. Anyway I was trying to incorporate the bird in the invite but I really don't like it so I made two others. Take a look!

I used Colorbok paper for both of these. I cut the onsie and the dress from the New Arrival Cartridge. I used my Gypsy to create these shaped cards. The small flower on the dress was cut from some pattern paper I had and I added some bling.

So for the last card I made, which was really the first and I'm really not feeling it. Trying to think of a way to use the bird but make it more babyish! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The paper was also from Colorbok. The ribbon is from Wal-Mart. The bird was cut from Just A Note. The stamp is from Michael's and the ink is Old Olive from SU!
