Welcome Home

 TGIF!!!!!!!  Sorry my blog has been suffering, I've been so busy I can hardly find time to "paper craft"!  Last weekend I baked and decorated three cakes, two camo for a brother and sister b-day party and one for my new Godchild, Ava's baptism!
 Needless to say, I had to attend the birthday parties and Baptism, so thats how I spent my last weekend.  Hopefully this weekend I'll find some time to hang out in my craft room and get my craft on!

Now onto my Welcome Home Card!
My sweet cousin Christina's oldest son has been serving in Afghanistan since Oct or Nov of last year.  I kinda lost track of time.  HE SHOULD BE COMING HOME SOON and his mom is going to be there to WELCOME HIM HOME!  She is sooooo excited!  And we are so SUPER PROUD OF HIM AND HIS BROTHER AND SISTER, as they are all in the Airforce!  I made this card for him to Welcome him home and let him know just how much we appreciate his service for our Great Country!
The imagesare from Meljen's Designs.  I colored them with my color pencils.
The paper is from my stash.  Ribbon is from wal-mart!

Thanks for taking a look!
Don't forget to "THANK" a SOLIDER!!!!!
Have a great weekend!

The Pink Stamper: NSD Challenge #6

Challenge #6 is my absolute last one.  I saw this card in Card Making with Cricut and thought it would be fun to re-create or scrap lift.  So here is my take on it.  I added the skull and made it a bit more boyish so I can send it to my nephew for his 12th b-day!  Hope he likes it.  The guitar was cut from Indie Art at 4 inches, the skull was cut from Indie Art at 2 1/2 inches.  The tag was cut from Tags, bags, boxes and more at 4 1/2 inches.  I used Marina Mist and DSP is from SU.  The bling is from Hobby Lobby and the cord is from Wal-Mart.  Thanks for taking a look and have a good night!  This really is my last one for tonight!  Yippy 5 mins to spare!  lol

MPS NSD: Challenge #5

So my bloggy friends, I believe this will be my last entry I don't think I will have time to complete the next challenge.  So challenge 5 is to make a 3-D item or add one to your project.  I cut this adorable purse from the Forever Young Cartridge at 3 1/2 inches (I think).  My niece is having her 17th Birthday Party this weekend and I thought this would be a great to put her gift card in!
I used a variety of paper from my stash!  I'm really getting to use up all that paper I've been hoarding.  LOL
The flowers were also cut from Forever Young and my bling is from Hobby Lobby.
I will post the other 7 projects as I complete them although they won't count toward an entry to win the Grand Prize of the Cricut Imagine!
Thanks for hanging in there with me and Goodnight my peeps!

Teachers Appreciation Week

This week was teacher's appreciation week my grandson, Brayden, had to do something each day for his "K" teacher.  Today he has to bring in a card or note telling her something he liked about her or thanking her for something she has done for him.  He spent the night at my house and we (I) made this simple card for her.  On the inside we wrote a note to her and he signed it and his sweet "K" handwriting.
Sorry don't know what kind of paper I used it was all scraps in my stash!
The ribbon is from Michael's;
I am so SUPER EXCITED I got to use my CRICUT EXPRESSION 2 for the first time!!!!!!
I cut the apple at 2 1/2 inches from Plantin Schoolbook and
I cut the ABC from one of the 4 cartridges that are preloaded on the E2 "Cricut American Alphabet!
Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Card Making with Cricut

As most of you know, I am fairly new to making cards and as most of us, I love, love, love my cricut!  I saw this book Annie Attic (Paper Crafts) Card Making with Cricut on Wal-Mart's website and decided to give it a go.  It is a great learning tool!  So here are a couple of cards I saw in the book and decided to make them into Mother's Day Cards!

I used a variety of paper for both cards: DCWV The Blossoms & Butterflies Stack & All Dressed up;
Colorbok from Wal-Mart: and some older paper I had in my stash.
The butterfly was cut at 2 1/2 inches.

Sentiment stamps are from Emma at My Creative Time "Mom You Rock" set.
The buttons, brads and bling are all from my stash.
And for the cute little flowers and butterfly, I used Walk in My Garden Cricut Cart.
The flowers were cut at 2, 1 1/2 and 1 inches in the DSP as well as black and layered.

Oh one more thing, I do apologize for the date stamp on the photos, I forgot to turn it off. : )

Thanks for taking a look!
Have a Great Day!!!!
