A Valentine for Mom

My five year old grandson spends every Saturday with me while his mommy works.  Him and I made a trip to Michael's and while we were there, we happened across an unfinished wooden heart frame for $1.00.  We bought it for him to finish for his mommy for Valentine!  Here is his finished product. He painted it and picked out all the decor for it, I just cut the images and helped him glue it all together.  He did a great job!
Thanks for taking a look!

Recipe: Toy Story Cricut Cartridge

Ribbon: Wal-Mart

It's almost been a Year since I got my Blog up and running.  Wow time goes by fast and I can't believe you all are still here.  To celebrate my my 1st year in Blogging, my up coming birthday and hitting my 1000th Stalker I am collecting all sorts of crafty things to giveaway as a THANK YOU to all my Stalkers.

I am in a TON of Blog Hops in the coming weeks.  So, I thought instead of doing a little something to giveaway on each Hop I would add all the comments from each Hop for the big Giveaway in February.  So far there is about $150 in goodies including a Pink ATG Gun.  There's stickers, rub-ons, SU stamp set, 9 rolls of ribbon, embellisments galore and if I can swing it I'm going to try and find a Cricut cart???  There are no sponsors, this is all from me and stuff I like to use.

Baby Shower Invite

As some of you know my sweet friend Teresa is expecting her second child (a baby girl, YAY!) and a few of us are getting together to throw her a small baby shower, really more like a get together.  I made the invites (25 of them) and here it is!  Tell me what you think!

I am so excited because I designed the entire card on my Gypsy that my wonderful children bought me for Christmas!  My card is a typical A-2 card, I cut all the images from New Arrival.
I printed the shower info on vellum and adhered it to the inside of the card.
Thanks for taking a look! : )

Stamping 411 - Saturday Sketch Challenge #184 - "Let Your Love Grow"

One of my goals this year is to participate in more challenges so here is my take on the Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge #184.  I know it has some imperfections, but I am trying my hand at stamping with my new SU kit contents (a first for me).  Thanks for taking a look!

I used regular white card stock from Walmart as my card base.  I used SU DS paper from the brights collection.  The stamps I used are from SU "For All You Do" and "I {Heart} Hearts".  I stamped my images on whisper white card stock from SU with Old Olive and Real Red also from SU. I hand cut my tag and used my own handwriting to write the message "Let your love grow" and last but not least I used a pink brad and pink ribbon from Michael's.

Happy New Year and Goals for 2011

I am currently working on setting goals for 2011!  I was talking to my son just the other day and he asked if I thought about my New Year Resolution yet and my response to him was "Every time I make a New Year Resolution, I don't stick to it, so this year I think I am just going to try setting some goals"!  So here they are:
1. I would like to create something crafty every week! (A card or a scrapbook page)
2. I am going to try to post on my blog at least once a week!
3. I would like to host and/or attend a swarm/crop/workshop at least once a month to learn new things and share what I have learned with my scrappin' buddies!
4. I want to build my card inventory up so that I have cards for all occasions should I need one!
5. I would like to participate in more challenges, they seem to get my creative juices flowing!
6. I would like to catch up on my Grandsons' scrapbooks by June and then keep up with them.

Now on a more personal note:
I am joining Weight Watchers and hope to be able to stick to it and become a healthy me!

*Just a little fun note:  My birthday this year is 1-11-11!  Maybe it will be special!*
