Some Christmas Pics

Happy Tuesday!  I hope everyone had a Great Christmas or whatever Holiday you may celebrate at this time of the year!  My Christmas was super fantastic!  It was filed with lots of love and family time!  We had Christmas at my house and it was lots of fun!  A bit stressful but fun all the same!  My daughter and grandson spent the night on Christmas Eve so he woke up with us Christmas morning and everyone knows Christmas is always more fun when you share it with a small child!  He was super excited about Santa's gifts and all the gifts he received from everyone!  Here are a few pics of my family from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! One of my children, Christopher, is missing because he spent Christmas in New York!
 Derek my 2 year old Grandson on his super cool Radio Flyer Bike that Nana and Paw-Paw gave him!
 My daughter Rachelle and my sweet Grandson Brayden who is a big 6 year old now.  And likes to remind us that he is a big boy now!  LOL
 My step-children, Shaun and Christina showing off their new hats!  heehee
 Tommy's sister Wendy and her husband Glen!
 My Christmas tree on Christmas morning!
 Brayden and his Paw-Paw putting out reindeer food!  His Paw-Paw asked if he could have some to bring to the camp so that the deer would come!  LOL
 My tree again!
 My DIL and my sweet little grandson, Hilton (17 mths)!
 Tommy excited about his new trail camera!
 My son Michael being really silly!
Brayden showing us something he got on Christmas morn.

And here are the last of my Christmas cards I made.  I seem to have problems with masculine cards and these are for men!  Please take a look and let me know what you think I could/should do differently!

I used my Imagine for all the images.  Each was cut at 3 1/2 inches.  My sentiments are from K Andrew's Winter Wishes stamp set, which you can purchase here!  This stamp set has been my go to set for all my Christmas/Winter cards!  Again, I hope you had a great Holiday!
Until Next Time, Happy Craftin'!

Naughty or Nice?

Can you believe it?  Only 4 days till Christmas!!!!!!!  Have you finished your shopping yet?  I finally finished mine last night.  I even managed to get my grocery shopping done!  Amazing! But I still have to make 4 Christmas cards!  I know, I know what a nightmare!  I've been working so hard at my real job I just don't have the energy to go into my craft room and create!  I think it's the brain power I'm lacking by the end of the day!  But I was able to get in there at 6am this morning and create a quick card.  Thank goodness I took the plunge and purchased the Imagine because I was able to put this card together pretty quickly without having to layer all the pieces!  Without further adieu here is my card, which I am going to make 3 more of and call it quits on the Christmas cards!  At least until January when I hope to be able to start making at least 3 a month so my cards will be done waaaayyyy in advance! Ok, so it's wishful thinking!  LOL  Seriously, here is my card this time:
 To create this card, I used my brand new Cricut Imagine (only used it like 3 times so far) and the Santa's Village Imagine Cartridge!  I believe this cart sold me on the Imagine rather than the other way around.  TeeHee!  I fell in love with this cart the first time I saw the images on Hello Thursday!  Any who, my card base is some pretty cream card stock from Recollections, I think the name of it is Spiced something or another.  The patterned paper is from DCWV Christmas Combo mat stack. I inked around all my edges with some brown ink.  My Santa checking his list was cut at 3 1/2 without the layers (due to time constraints) and popped up on some foam tape.  My ribbon is from Michael's I think!  Sorry I seem to be having some difficulty remembering things today! LOL  My AWESOME sentiment is from none other than K Andrew!  The Winter Wishes stamp set which I absolutely love!!!!!!  To get your own set or check out the other sets available click HERE! For a quick look at the Winter Wishes set see below!
 Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to stop by!  I appreciate each and everyone of you!
Have an awesome day!
Until next time, Happy Craftin'

Santa Tree

Good Morning my Crafty Friends:
I hope everyone is having a great week as I continue to work on finishing up Christmas cards and getting them out.  Under normal circumstances my Christmas cards go out the first week of December!  However, this year has been a little crazy for me.  I am so hoping 2012 is a much calmer year!  Any who I made a card using the Peachy Keen Santa Tree die and stamp.  This die/stamp is adorable.  I had fun making it!  Take a look and let me know what you think:

Recipe:
Peachy Keen Santa Tree stamp and die;
Crayola Pencil colors;
All the papers used are scraps from my stash, sorry don't know the names;
Star brad blinged up (is that even a word) with some silver stickles;
Star dust stickles on the tree branches;
"Greetings" Sentiment from K Andrew's
Winter Wishes Stamp set;
Ribbon from Michael's;
Ticket punch EK Success; and
an action wobble of course!

DON'T FORGET TO JOIN US ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2011 FOR THE GETTING CRICKY WITH K ANDREW - SNOW MUCH FUN BLOG HOP! IT'S SURE TO BE FILLED WITH LOTS OF INSPIRATION AND AWESOME PROJECTS!

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Good Morning my sweet crafty friends!  Wow!  What a whirlwind of a few weeks I've been having!  I have been crazy busy at work trying to close out the year!  I finally went Christmas shopping this past weekend and was able to get most everything I needed.  I think I have 3 gifts left to purchase!  WOO HOO!!!!!  I did get a Christmas tree on Saturday, which still isn't decorated! {GASP}  I did snag some pretty awesome deals at Michael's this past weekend in Christmas decor that is!  Can you believe I only bought a couple of cuttlebug folders and a paper piercer in the craft section!  What is wrong with me, I must be getting ill! LOL And finally.......I was able to play a little with my Imagine!  Look what I made!!!!!!  A simple Christmas card!  Yep still working on those! eeekkk!!!!!

I used Snow Angel Imagine Cartridge which I bought off of eBay for a really awesome price, I think it was less than $20 or maybe right at $20!  I'm not sure because I kinda went a little eBay crazy and purchased 4 Imagine carts!  Yeah, that's what I said 4!  But my sweet and wonderful boss gave me a really awesome Christmas bonus this year and I am having a great time spending it.  Tee Hee!!!!   Ok back to my card, it's 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 white card base.  My green layer which is SU DSP (sorry can't remember the name of it) is cut at 5 14 X 4.  And my top note die was cut using at 4 inches using the Imagine's pre-loaded cart and inked with SU Regal Rose and Blushing Bride ink.  My scallop circle was cut a 2 inches from the same pre-loaded cart on the Imagine!  The poinsettia was printed and cut at 3 1/2 inches using the Snow Angel Imagine Cricut Cart.  I have to say when I purchased the Imagine on Thanksgiving night and brought it home, it stayed in the box on my living room floor for a few days while I tried to decide if I really needed it more than just wanted it!  Especially since I have an Expression and an Expression 2!  Who needs 3 Cricuts right!  ME!!!!!!  I love my Imagine as much as my other machines and I've really only used it once!  But I think I like the idea of printing and not having to dig through all of my papers to find the correct color!  Can't wait to use it some more and explore all that it can do!   Sorry about the rambling! I know I keep getting off subject but I have so much to tell you guys!  hee hee  My Merry Christmas sentiment is from the "Winter Wishes" stamp set from K Andrew!  I have been using this stamp set like crazy what a great winter set to have!  There are so many sentiment combinations to be had!  It just takes a little imagination!  Click here to get your own set of stamps or to see what other great stamps she has available.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and say Hi!  I appreciate each and every one of you!
Until next time.......Happy Craftin'!

Brrr......

Hello My Crafty Friends!
I hope everyone is having a fantastic week!  It seems like I only have time to post one card a week lately!  I've been busy trying to finish up my Christmas cards!  eeekkk.....I haven't mailed those yet!  Can you believe I've only bought three Christmas gifts so far.  I know, I know I'm running out of time but things have been crazy busy at work.  Yep, even I have a real job! LOL  Actually this time of year always seems to get a little busy for us.  We are trying to close out the year and this year, I/we don't have a secretary so I'm gettin' to do 2 jobs! :(   By the time I get home all I want to do is get into my jammies and lay on the sofa or in the bed and relax!  But really who can do that?  So here it is 10:30 at night and I'm sitting here posting so you guys know how much I love and appreciate each and everyone of you!!!!!!
The weather here in South Louisiana has been a bit cold!  At 5pm when I was heading home, the temp was 45, can you believe it!  I know that's warm for some of you but not for us!     So I thought this card would be fitting for the weather outside tonight!  I do have to say it is feeling a lot like Christmas or at least what I think Christmas weather should be like not our usual 75 degrees!  TeeHee!  Sorry I'm rambling, I sometimes do that!  So without further adieu here is my card!

Recipe:
Cardstock - all from my stash
Snowman cut at 3 inches from Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge
Ribbon from Hobby Lobby
White jelly roll pen for stitching
Snowflake bling and the little blue bling on the sentiment is from Michael's sorry I don't have the packaging anymore to tell you who its from.
White flocking for my snow along the bottom of the card
Face on my snowman is from the Happy Lashes Stamp Set from Peachy Keen
I colored the face with my Crayola pencil colors
Brrr....... sentiment is from K Andrew's Winter Wishes Set which you can purchase here
For a closer look at this FABULOUS stamp set:

Frosty Kisses!

YAHOO!!!!!!
MY COMPUTER IS UP AND RUNNING AGAIN!!!!!
As promised, here is a card I made using
K Andrew "Winter Wishes" stamp set!

My card is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  The striped paper is 5 1/4 X 4. The maroon paper with the scallops was cut 5 X 2 and punched with a scallop boarder punch.  The green layer is 5 X3.  My cute Snow Couple is a digi image from Cindy's Scraptastic Designs that I colored with my regular ole' crayola pencil colors.  I purchased my ribbon at Michael's.  My snowflakes are from a snow flake boarder punch that I have.  Each time I use it I save the snow flakes.  I used red glitter glue from studio g for the heart and some star dust stickles on the snow flakes but you really can't see it in the pic.  And my AWESOME sentiment is from K Andrew Winter Wishes Stamp Set! What I love most about this stamp set is the possibilities are endless.  You can mix and match all the words to create whatever sentiment you want!  Click here to get your own set or see all the stamps available!

Hi Miranda!

Both your cards look fabulous! I love how you used the sentiments and combined various techniques such as stamping, coloring, etc. My fav Christmas gift ever would be a little peddle fire truck "Santa" brought me when I was five. Remember the kind you would sit in that had a little bell you could ring? Well, Christmas morning my two older brothers got to the tree before me and just assumed that fire truck was for them. Oh the fun I had when my parents told them to get off of it because it was mine! lol! The look on my brothers faces was the best Christmas gift I ever had! LOL! Forty one years later I still see their faces and laugh about it!

Well, I am your newest follower and I would love for you to stop on over sometime! TFS!

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!  Its hump day and the last day of the week for some of us "thanks" to the Thanksgiving Holiday!  I've been so busy cleaning and painting I didn't realize I hadn't posted in a few days.  So I sat down at my scrap desk this morning and made a quick and simple card using K Andrew's Stamps!  I apologize for the picture as I took it with my iPhone because somebody forgot to charge her camera! OOPS!!!! Any who here is my quick and simple card:

My card is a typical A2 sized card.  All of the papers used are from my scraps!  I know the polka dot paper is DCWV. The others......can't remember!  My cute stamps are from K Andrew Designs Art Stamps of course! These are the sets I used!

Getting Cricky - Simple Sunday Challenge - Give Thanks

Happy Sunday everyone!  Today is another Simple Sunday challenge over at Getting Cricky.  This week we were asked to create a project reflecting something you are thankful for!

For my project, I used the "Scripture Sayings" stamp set.  Click here to get your own set and to see all the other stamps that are available.

I used a variety of paper for this card, most of which were scraps.  My cornucopia was cut from the Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Cart.  My ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the cute little leaf brads are from Recollection, which my Mommy gave me!  heehee  My tag was punched with an EK Success punch (sorry I don't recall the name of it) and layered on a yellow piece of card stock, which I hand cut to resemble the punch.  The verse was perfect as I have so very much to be THANKFUL for!  The Lord has Blessed me abundantly!  Take a look at the other verses on this set!

Coffee and Tea for You and Me

Coffee and Tea Time

Winter Wishes

For my 1st project, I used the "Winter Wishes" mix and match sentiments! My card is a typical A2 sized card.  Base: 5 1/2 X4 1/4; Layer 1: 5 1/4 X 4; Layer 2: 5 X 3 3/4.  My Nativity image is a wooden stamp I picked up at Michael's and it is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with my Sargent watercolor pencils.  Blended with an SU blending pen.  My DSP is from DCWV Christmas Combo.  All other cardstock is from my stash.  My sentiment is from Winter Wishes. Pearls are from Creative Charms - Gradient Jewels.  Gold stickles for the halos.  I inked around the edges of my Nestabilities scalloped oval with gold ink.

For my 2nd project, I used a combination of both the Winter Wishes and Coffee and Tea for You and Me stamps.  I saw this really cute gift card holder in the November Issue of Card Maker Magazine and had to give it a try.  I used the diagram below to make the card.  My DSP is from DCWV Christmas Combo and the actual gift card holder was made with craft cardstock from Recollections.  I just stuck a McDonald's gift card in it to show you how it fits.  The words "Have a" & "Grande" are from Coffee and Tea for You and Me and "Christmas" is from Winter Wishes.  The adorable coffee beans and coffee to go cups are from the Coffee and Tea Time Image set which is a companion to the sentiments! I  wrote the To and From on the cups to use as tags. The silver pearls around my sentiment is liquid pearls - Silver Pearls.

What blog hop would be complete without some Blog Candy?  To thank you for hopping by today, I have a little bit of Blog Candy to give away!   Just leave me a comment letting me know what was your favorite Christmas gift to be entered to win some goodies from me!  If you leave a way for me to contact you, I'll be sure to let you know if you are the winner!  Otherwise check back next week, I'll be pulling for the prize on Thursday to give everyone a chance!  I won't require you to become a follower but if you do leave a 2nd comment for an additional entry!

Season's Greetings

Hello Crafty Friends:
I'm still working on Christmas Cards and exploring the K Andrew's "Winter Wishes" stamp set! Click here to see all the K Andrew's Stamps.

For my card today, I cut the card base from Wild Cards - fit to page.  I cut the liner for the front of the card using DCWV Christmas Combo stack.  The white mat was cut 2 X 3 1/2 the red layer was cut 1 3/4 X 3 1/4.  The bells were cut at 3 1/4 from the Scandinavian Christmas Cards Cricut Cart using all the layers except for the ribbon.  I opted to use real ribbon.  The tag used for my sentiment is from Lacey Labels Cricut Cart at 2 inches.  And my sentiment is from K Andrew's Winter Wishes stamp set.

Snow Much Fun

My life has been a bit crazy lately with all the home projects and the unexpected 3 am trips to the ER with Tommy; I haven't had much "FUN" time lately!  Turns out "T" has a bad gallbladder that will be coming out next Tuesday, problem solved - hopefully!  Living room painted and starting the hall tomorrow.  YIPPEE!  The other rooms will have to wait until after Thanksgiving!  Enough about my crazy life.....on to happier things!  ; )

Some people enjoy retail therapy and me, well..........I enjoy paper, bling and ink therapy!  FINALLY I was able to get into my craft room and create something!  With winter coming our way (well not our way WINTER never really comes my way, I live in South Louisiana!) I thought it would be appropriate to make a "Snow much Fun" card!  One of my all time favorite Cricut carts is "A Child's Year" it is filled with so many cute images.  Put that together with  a K Andrew Designs stamp set and TA-DA  you have a card!  OK, OK, I'm a little delirious I still need to catch up on my sleep!  Anyway I did create a card and here it is:

Recipe:
5 1/2 X 4 1/4 - Dark Blue Card stock: Recollections from Michael's
5 1/4 X4 - Light Blue Card stock: Georgia Pacific from Walmart
Another layer of dark blue card stock cut at 5 1/4 X 2 1/4
51/4 X 2 - DSP: DCWV The Christmas Combo 180 Sheet Stack from JoAnn's

A Weight Update

Good Morning Everyone!
I am working on a project but it isn't ready just yet!  I've kinda been cleaning and organizing my room.  I still have lots of work to do, moving some furniture around and painting my house.
But I do have a weight update for you guys, a few weeks ago I mentioned that I started weight watchers online on July 22nd and have been slowly taking off the weight.  Today is my weigh in day, I lost 2 lbs this week!!!!!!!!! YIPPY!  So my total weight lost is 24.1 lbs, I have a long way to go but at least its coming off!  Again I apologize for not having a project today, but I promise to get back on posting regularly.  There are a few crafty things that I am trying out like applying to a couple of design teams something I have never done.  But with the encouragement of my mom, I gave it a shot.  I won't be totally disappointed if I don't get picked as I have a lot to learn still.
Have a great weekend and Happy Craftin'!

Happy Halloween

No project today!  Although I did have a pretty crafty weekend!  My mom and I went shopping at Hobby Lobby and Michael's on Saturday and picked up tons of great items on sale.  Then on Sunday I made 30 Halloween treat bags with some cute toppers (which I did not take a pic of, silly me) for my sweet grandson, Brayden's class!  And tonight, I plan to go Trick-or-treating with Brayden and my daughter! Hope everyone has a Safe and Happy Halloween!

HIMCR Challenge #17 - Card Size #10

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!  I was able to get some more painting done in my house!  My goal is to have the bulk of it done before Thanksgiving, which is about 6 weeks away.  The only problem is that I can only work on it on Saturdays because of work.  Enough about me! On to the challenge:

My mom sent me a link to this blog, Hiding In My Craft Room, which turned out to be a really great blog.  She has a challenge going on right now to make a #10 card!  This is my first card with those dimensions.  So my card is 9 1/4 X 4 and it'll fit into a #10 envelope.
My card base is 9 1/4 X 4 in green "Recollections" cardstock from Michael's.  I used a piece of blue and a piece of white from my scraps and hand cut both to kinda make it look like the sky and snow on the ground.  I feel in love with these houses on the Jolly Holidays Cricut Lite Cartridge.  I cut my houses at 3 1/2 inches with the layers. I added some stickles to the snow to make it sparkle.  I added a piece of silver ribbon that I picked up at Walmart last year.  My sentiment is stamped in Memento Black Ink and the stamps are from K Andrews Art Stamps "Winter Wishes"!  I am really liking this stamp set!

Until Next Time,
Happy Craftin'!

What I've Been Up To!

What have I been up to you ask!  Well getting ready for my Grandson Brayden's Halloween Birthday Party this past Saturday of course!  My oldest Grandson, Brayden, is 6 now and he had a fun filled birthday party.  I made my first Pinata!  It was a pumpkin/jack-o-lantern.  It was a lot of fun but took nearly a week to make!  And all of 10 minutes to destroy.  TeeHee!  Then of course I made his b-day cake.  A pretty simple one actually.  He wanted a Haunted House cake using an old Wilton Pan I had forever.  He saw it and decided that's what he wanted.  Here are a few pics:
 The Infamous Pinata!

 The Cake
His Favorite Gift from his Grandpa Mike!

Another Pic of the cake! Just the house.

I apologize for the quality of the pics, was having a bad camera day! LOL

Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!
