Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #175

Saturday Sketch Challenge #175

Hello everyone and welcome to a new Saturday Sketch Challenge from the Stamping 411 Operators!

This week's sketch may look a little more complicated than usual but it's really not ... you just need to break it down into pieces and you'll see how easy it is. We hope you'll try your hand at it this week.

So as most of you know, I am brand new to card making, but I am trying.  lol  I came across this blog and decided to take the challenge....here is my entry.  I made a Birthday card for my Mother-in-law who loves to play Bingo, her birthday is in a couple of weeks.  Hope you like it!

My entry for the Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge is  near and dear to my heart, it is a tribute to my Aunt Jennie who lost a battle with lung cancer a little over 5 years ago.  She was my mom's big sister and very special to me.  She was my mom away from home! I spent as much time with her throughout my life as I possibly could!  Her children and I are very close and everyone in our family misses her very much!  She is gone but NEVER FORGOTTEN!

Thanks for taking the time to look at my Layout! =)

Had a baby shower to attend today (Sunday) and realized I forgot to get a card so I made a quick card using New Arrival Cricut Cart.  I cut the elephant at 3 inches.  The paper is COLORBOK and the ribbon is from Wal-Mart.  Hope you enjoy!
Oh and I made the cake as well!  Check it out!
Thanks for visiting my blog.  Have a great week!

Cricut Circle Challenge #3 - Giving Thanks Card

Weekly Challenge #3: AUTUMN SPLENDOR! Color Challenge
Fall is all about the beautiful, seasonal colors and warm, cozy textures. This week we want you to INCORPORATE THE COLORS PROVIDED in the swatch above (gray, orange, tan and burgundy), AND add lots of TEXTURE to your project.

I used the Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Lite Cartridge to cut the cornucopia at 2 inches and the sentiment at 1 1/2 inches.  I pop dotted both images.  I used my cuttlebug to add some texture to the patterned paper. And used textured paper for the card front.
Thanks for taking a look!

Boo Halloween Card

I made this "Boo" Halloween card using the Cricut Cartridge "Wild Card" I cut the card at 5 1/2 and used the pumpkin card image in the book just as it is, except for a few embellishments.  I used some glitter glue in the eyes and mouth to give it a little bling and added a little bow. I inked the edges of the pumpkin, grass and boo with black ink.  I drew in the lines to give the pumpkin a little depth!
Hope you like it, thanks for taking a look! I'm still learning and having a great time doing it! :)

Happy Friday!!!  My Grandson, Brayden (5 yrs) and I were looking through some Halloween paper to make a card and he picked out the patterned paper we used on this simple Halloween card.  He really liked it so we didn't want to cover it.  Hope you like it!

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge #2: THINK PINK!

So the Cricut Circle challenge for this week:

Use Pink, Ruffles, Scallops, Flourishes, Glitter and Jewels ( incorporate any 3 on your project)

I used Pink, Jewels, Glitter and a little flourish!

A really good friend of mine, Teresa, (more like another daughter) is excepting a Baby Girl in March, so I made a layout to welcome Baby Ava!  All we need is to add her pic and some journaling when she arrives!  Can't wait to meet her!

Thanks for taking a look!  All comments welcomed!

Mojo Monday Challenge #159

So I am really new at making cards and consider myself a beginner in paper crafting in general.  But I came across the Mojo Monday Sketch Blog and decided to give it a try.  So here is my creation.....since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I decided to do a breast cancer card.  I used Colorbok patterned paper as well as glitter paper, I cut the scalloped circle using the Cricut Lite Lacey Labels and the bra is part of a free breast cancer awareness stamp from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.  Thanks for taking a look at my card!

Trick-or-treat LO

I created this layout for one of the Holiday Head Start Challenges on Club CK.  We had to use one of the Halloween Accents available for download on their site. I used the pumpkins (my first time coloring anything to use on a layout), the bats (enhanced with stickles so they could be seen easier), the black rat and the title cut and inked with black.  I used purple textured card stock with pattered paper from Debbie Mumm for Joann Fabrics Autumn Stack.  Now all I need are some cute Halloween pics of my grandsons to fill the spots!

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge #1

I made this Thank You Card using French Manor Cart for the Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge #1! My card is 4in by 5.5in.  I cut my birdtile at 3 in. and used the layer feature.  I used pink and clear stones to bling it up!  I used green card stock and patterned paper from my stash. The Thank You stamp is from stampology. I am new to card making and stamping.  And brand new to this blog thing, so I hope I am doing this correctly!  Please bear with me! Thanks for stopping by and looking at my creation!  : )

Here We Go!

Okay, so here we go, I have no clue what I am doing!  But I know I want to share my love for crafting with family and friends (old, new and future)!  I find myself wanting to participate in challenges lately and almost all ask for a link to my creations, so I am creating that link!  I hope I am doing this correctly and welcome all help!  Please your comments will be greatly appreciated on both what I should do with this blog and any advice you may have on my creations.  Thanks!
